I think this topic is of some interest for you guys... https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=20855 Will the palestinian NT be force to reckon with in west asian football if the succeed with this?
Possibly... However, it didnt help Lebanon much when they imported from Brazil in 2000. It cant really be said...
this is a bit different... first of all there are quite a few latinos with palestinian background and the case with lebanese brazilians was about brazilians who had been transferred to the lebanese league and brazilian players who are sold to lebanon are really 4th-rated brazilian players. these players will continue to play in their southamerican leagues it is just that they will represent the palestinian national team so probably these players will be better than the lebanese ones... but of course they won't be spectacular either since they can't be good enough to play for the NT in their southamerican country which they naturally would have preferred...
Hey recruiting in other countries is not a bad idea. There are tons of Arabs living in Latin and South America. Just look at people like Shakira, Salma Hayek, Yamilla Diaz Rahi, and many more. Too bad these are all hot babes rather than football players
i think batigol has some syrian ancestry i think it is his grandfather or grandmother or something like that... there are not so many fully arab latinos in latin america most of them have been mixed up. all those babes you mentioned for example are mixed and have some arab background that's all... therefore the players they will be able to recruit won't be that good cuz if they were they would be they would have preferred to play for their latinamerican nt and the country from which their grandmother came from. but for the palestinian nt it can be a huge improvement. of course palestina won't be able to challenge the big names in asia but nor saudi nor china impressed me at the wc so if asia is given 5 spots who knows? they will scout for players who have some palestinian ancestry thats all but it would be funny to see an arab team from the mid east with players named jose, diego and marcelo and all of them talking spanish/portuguese with each other!
