    Source of data: fifa.com
    Ranking issued on 10/24/03.

FIFA Rankings are based on matches played up to 10/19/2003.

AH sure has done a fabulous job:), and if she keeps it up, USWNT will be #3 soon.

There is no way USWNT will win another major tournament anytime soon, unless there is new
    coach hired for the USWNT.
USWNT has only scored 2 goals in the last 7 games from run of play.

Finally, if Dr. Contiguglia can't see the need for a new coach for USWNT, and thinks soccer is only about scoring from set pieces, then the future doesn't look good for the USWNT.

They must have done the tallying before the Italy match. No way they would have been in the top ten after that display.

    Wow!

This is a surprise. After listening to Dr. Bob, I thought that the US had been elevated to Godhood. Dr. Bob, Bagdad Bob, what's the difference.

pls don't be so harsh on her, she has done alot for this country in the past, she was one of our great forwards...i'm sure she'll prevail in the end, along with O'Reilly, Tarpley, healthy Mac Millan, we're gonna win the gold next year, for sure...

Let's give her (our full support) another (Golden) chance next year.

How about we give the players our full support?

The coach--her, I'm not so sure about.

    Let me say it again:

There is no way USWNT will win another major tournament anytime soon, unless there is new
    coach hired for the USWNT.
USWNT has only scored 2 goals in the last 7 games from run of play.

    somewhere on earth

We have 1 yr prior to the Olympic, a lot of time to reconstruct the team and based on the last WC, we'll find out what need to be done.

    you're a little 'too' optimistic!

But a bad performance is not always the coaches fault (for those of you who don't like AH). She can only do so much, once the team is on the pitch, it's up to them.

And now, back to the subject of the ranking:

US no longer #1 - And rightly so!

#2 OK, but the right team is at #1

    And now back off topic:
we should be # 1 but...........
