Last Word on the Faked Museum Heist

    I know I had probably too much fun laughing at the lefties on the Baghdad Museum "looting" which turned out to be 33 missing pieces probably stolen months or even years ago.

    But now even far-left outfits like The Guardian agree with me:

    I conclude two things from all this. The first is the credulousness of many western academics and others who cannot conceive that a plausible and intelligent fellow-professional might have been an apparatchiks of a fascist regime and a propagandist for his own past. The second is that - these days - you cannot say anything too bad about the Yanks and not be believed.

    WSJ says it even better:

    But there weren't 270,000 items missing, or (the most frequently reported number) 170,000. One museum official put the number at 47 items, but that was later revised down to 33. Meanwhile, the museum that was supposed to have been destroyed is scheduled to reopen next week.
