Just curious on how everyone feels about a couple of players. If they don't step up I think that maybe we should look into trading them. The two people I am talking about is Brown and Gomez.
Brown might not see as much action this year but he will get his chances early on if Wolf can not go. Sure Brownie is versitile, well kinda sorta I guess. The guy can only score with his head and on the training pitch. Sure it is nice to score in pratice to get the coaches attention but when you constantly are shanking shots with your feet in the game there is something wrong. I would say it is a confidence problem but it has lasted for 3 seasons.

Cisco was touted as the "next Preki" for the Wizards but as many of you know he really hasn't shown alot in the time that he has gotten on the field. Sure there has been nice touches on the ball and a few cheeky moves but everytime he passes the ball it is to the side or behind him. He really seems to be more of a holding midfielder rather than an attacking mid.

So guys sack up and make good with your chance to play or be gone with ya.

A couple of years ago I would have said to send Brown to the A-League. However, the last two seasons he seems to have gone on scoring tears, scoring 3-4 goals in consecutive games. Usually this is early in the season, then he drops off and pretty much does nothing the rest of the year.

As for Gomez, he's one of those players that doesn't make mistakes, but he doesn't do anything spectacular either.

At this point I think they're both good players to have on the bench. However, if the opportunity to replace either of them with a player with a stronger upside, then I wouldn't be sad to see them go.

Gomez i think can go. Stephen Armstrong has become the man most likely to replace Preki in my mind. He will probably never be as good, but is by far better than Gomez.

I still hang on to a little hope for Brown. An ocassional start, energy off the bench in the last 15 mins. of a game in both Midfield and forward. He may shank some shots, but the winner he hit against Chicago late in the year last year, was classic.
