I liked Man City last season but it doesn't seem like somewhere that Landon would go. Tevez is leaving right? And Bellamy?

Let donovan go to an EPL team. I am a big LA Galaxy fan and yes I'd much rather have LD here and making out games for interesting but we cannot hold this guy any longer. LD is a great player and he can be even better but he wont get better playing here.

i beg to differ...he's gotten pretty damn good all these years while wearing a MLS jersey.

I agree. He's done just fine wearing an MLS jersey.

I haven't heard anything about Tevez leaving. I think I heard something about Bellamy, but the only one I know is leaving for sure is Robinho. Maybe City will be nice enough to let Donovan finish the MLS season so he can go out with a title then begin his reign in Europe.

I thought Robinho already left and has been playing in Brazil.

As has become his habit, Tevez has decided he doesn't like his manager.

For obvious reasons, I don't want Landon anywhere near Man City.

Robinho is playing for Santos. Per Wikipedia, Craig Bellamy has 3 years left on his Manchester City contract, having signed for 4.5 years in January 2009.

It'll be interesting to see if (1) the Galaxy/MLS is willing to let him go, and (2) if he feels any loyalty to Everton.

If he goes to the EPL I'd like to see him back to Everton. Having a good fit with players, the coach and supporters shouldn't be underrated.

But he'll almost certainly have to accept less $ than Man City will be willing to pay. And either club will have to offer MLS enough to pry him loose.

    It'll be interesting watch.

I can't see LD wanting to go there.

at the same time, i'm not surprised that they are interested. i expect we'll see a few more bites over the summer.

    A. I don't think Landon Donovan is going anywhere but LA Galaxy.

    B. If he did leave, Manchester City would be a horrible place for him to go as he would barely see the field. Contrary to posts here, Carlos Tevez is not leaving and it's Craig Bellamy that will be exiting. But that still leaves Emmanuel Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz and the returning Robinho (Brazilian club Santos can no longer afford to pay his wages). And that's not even mentioning their crowded midfield or the strong rumors of Edin Dzeko, David Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic coming into the side. In short, no place for him.

Tevez isn't going anywhere. Mancini has said he wants Bellamy to stay and that just came out within the last couple of days. He sees him as an important player for next season. Robinho went to Santos on loan and is due back to City after the World Cup. Santos wants to take him permanently but they can't afford him. As sponsors had to help pay for him during his loan. But he is has been given permission to leave if there is a buyer. City has been given permission by Valencia to negotiate with David Silva.

You folks that want to ship Landon off to another club because it will make him a better player can kiss my LA Galaxy loving butt.

I DON'T CARE if it's good for the Nats, I support the Galaxy week in and week out. Sure I cheer for the Nats, but not at the expense of the club I am a season ticket holder to.

Landon stays unless we get $20MM in transfer fees and 100% of that goes to the LA salary cap over the remainder of Landon's contract, and longer if the club so chooses.

Screw your wishes for Landon to be a better Nats player, I want him in a Galaxy jersey, or I want the ability to sign 4 excellent world class players in the prime of their career to replace him. Period. End of negotiations

He's gone. Sucks for you. You'll share the $10-12M with MLS and the rest of your silly wishes are just that.

    Deal with it.

And what is your source that indicates he's already gone?

None, so I shouldn't sound so definitive. In my opinion, however, I think he will leave.

I predict he'll come back to LA to finish the season and let MLS market him with his post-WC glow, and then he'll be sold and (after a short break to get much-needed rest) he'll head to Everton, City or wherever. MLS, the Galaxy and LD will benefit.

And he should go if he can. He's only got a few years left at the top of his game. He should play against the best, cash in, and then come back to MLS for the end of his career.

With Silva signed, this move is near an impossibility.

Hmm, interesting. It's really hard to say. I can't see him going over to Manchester City.....but it seems quite convenient that he's wearing a Man City jersey and not a Galaxy one. Would've been great to see the latter.
