Ordered my Landon jersey today (long sleeve 3rd kit)
There is a special sale on them, free printing and the away/3rd kits are both discounted too.

I paid $50 which included tax and shipping to USA.

    CAN. NOT. WAIT!

Pardon my ignorance, but what does the "3rd kit" look like?

Is it the yellow one? :)

Or perhaps the pink one?

That's a pity. To me, white is a pretty dull uniform color.

I much prefer that ivory color we had in previous season(s).

I think its better than the pink...and the amber kit.

It is a little plain but it also means i can pair it with my Blues EFC track jacket so i will be the most stylish Toffee in the pub. (granted i will be the only toffee in the pub not withstanding)

I think they call it silver... I'd like to see one in person to judge if it's nice or not :) if it isn't sparkling it isn't silver and they lied, but I digress... :)

I don't know if it was noted before in the thread but Brian McBride went to Fulham at 32. If you ask the Cottagers, I think they'll say it worked out pretty well.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Anyone know if it's possible Landon's loan might be extended?

After doing so well with Everton, it would be a pity if he returned to the Galaxy so soon.

    Deja vu all over again?

Serious answer - not impossible, but highly improbable...of course, I was saying that Pienaar wasn't coming back 'cuz he was in the Spurs 18 the other night....so my forecasting skills might be suspect.....

Add to that Galaxy nixing a request to extend Robbie Keane's stay at Villa and it's not likely to happen. That said, he's different player in a different situation. Maybe part of the agreement with Landon was an extension if requested and that's why Robbie can't stay. Only the Shadow knows

Hopefully Landon will seriously look at signing with a European club sometime this year. And hopefully that'll be Everton.

Landon's achieved basically all he can achieve in the States -- multiple league championships, MVP of the league, etc, etc -- so the only way he can significantly boost his already impressive legacy is to play overseas.

Landon will be turning 30 next month, so I'd think it's basically now or never if he wishes to play in a foreign league.

If I were him, I'd play the next 2 or 3 seasons with Everton, and then return to the LA Galaxy to finish out my career.

He's got 3 more years (I think) on his contract. The price tag quoted 2 years ago indicate MLS is loathe to sell their American poster boy (that's not a knock on him, BTW). Landon would be very good for Everton and I'd love to see him there, but not at the $10-12 million, bounced around. There will be no sell off at the back end and Everton would need additional permanent players to push far enough up the table to make the transaction financially viable. Don't see it unless MLS become charitable.

Interview with LD regarding his current stay and possibilities for the future - not this year, but maybe next? I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a permanent move after this upcoming MLS season.

The Galaxy should really let him join Everton permanently. They could use his transfer money on another DP.

What seems to be unnoticed is he has told MLS he probably won't stay so you should consider cashing in now, or risk getting nothing later.

It's all on the Galaxy. I think they see him too valuable to sell him now with their chances at a club world cup slot. Imagine LA Galaxy playing in the club world cup in japan? Would do wonders to get beckham out in japan, and making an even bigger name for themselves/MLS playing in something as interesting as the club world cup.

    Well congrats to Landon.

He's just picked up the official Everton player of the month award.

Very interesting interview. Thanks so much for providing the link.

Landon says he has 2 more years on his contract, and that there is no chance the Galaxy would let him transfer this spring.

He thinks, however, that the Galaxy would be much more willing to allow him to transfer after the end of the upcoming MLS season. And I got the definite impression that Landon would be very interested in coming to Everton at that time.
