    Number 10 represents the "playmaker" on the field, or the best offensive player. The number 10 has been worn by the likes of Pele, Maradona, Zidane... for the US he is our number 10.

    He switched from Base 3 to Base 7.

    Seniority. Reyna wore #10 when he was on the team. Once he retired, LD was free to switch. He would wear it before as well if Reyna hadn't been called up for a particular game.
