First question I have is why did Taylor not play in the semifinal? The Revs don't play this weekend so it wasn't to rest him....? And note that Shalrie got a red in the semifinal - barring it being overturned (unlikely), he will be out for the game. Who does it look like will replace him? As we're still integrating Denilson, not sure how much analysis we can do of our team v. theirs, but we can take a closer look at their team in general. Discuss. (Yes, I know this is early, but it is a Cup Final.)
I guess they get the advantage with the international player rule. I doubt they even have 5 internationals on their roster.
NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION OUT: M Joe Franchino (R peroneal tendon surgery); DOUBTFUL: D Marshall Leonard (R hamstring strain); M Wells Thompson (R ankle sprain); QUESTIONABLE: F Taylor Twellman (flu-like symptoms); D Jay Heaps (L calf strain); M Miguel Gonzales (R groin strain); PROBABLE: F Pat Noonan (R groin strain)
Don't be silly, of course they are better than a couple of out of shape fans. the important question is are the Revs better than FCD?
How many days do we have until Oct. 3 and how many injuries and healings can happen in that time frame? I bet it takes that many days for someone to give me the answer.
I'm going to go ahead and start a pre-game thread for the our 2012 season opener....and I expect nothing but solid analysis from you people on that game.
Am I really the only person who wants to start looking at this? It is a Cup Final, for crying out loud.
well, it's too far away for forum members to find anything to truly b!tch about... people on the forum just want to complain about recent games and games in the next 48 to 72 hours that they have more info on. or about the stripes on the field, or about the way the FO markets 'gullible soccer parents', or how we don't have a DP, or how our DP is a washed up dude that was buried in sand for a year, or how Nunez held onto the ball too much, or how Ricardinho holds onto the ball too much but it's ok cuz he's Brazilian and they all do it, or.... well, I could do this all day. you get the point. It seems like lately all people do is complain on this forum. I bet my response gets some complaints! I'm glad we went all out against Seattle. I'm looking forward to October 3rd!
Hey Kevin, if they don't care about the Open Cup that's fine...I mean all that really matters is the MLS season anyway right?? I mean you guys got a big match with Columbus on that Saturday to think about!! See you in a few weeks
Viewing the responses on here....yup, looks like you are the only one wanting to go into deep analysis mode for a game three weeks away. OMG...NO WAY....AWESOME!!!111 Yes, I understand. It's not that I don't care about the game, it's that it's too far away to get into the details.
To paraphrase the old TV gem Stingray, anything can happen in the next three weeks. It's not that I'm not looking forward to it (I am), and it's not that I don't want to analyze either, it's just that with several games between now and then and the amount of injuries we've already had this season, I don't want to think too closely about it until we've got a better idea of what the starting lineups will likely be. YMMV. For now, I'd rather just focus on Toronto and the games following.
No idea about the lineups 3 weeks from now, but here is how I see things stacking up in this thread: ------------------Dario Sala-------------------- Nutella-----El Jefe----Burning247-----ParrotHead ----7rowscreamer-----AHF4FCD-------FCD-FAN-- --Rex Kramer---------------------Pea Size Hail--- --------------------Tex Gator------------------- vs. Drum rBoy
