Yes. But the single largest point bonus is for how close you are to downtown.

Yep. And then when you factor in the 3pts per owner and the inventing soccer multiplier it puts them over the top.

That’s weird - but then I see their 2019 goal differential is listed as +57 (or +40 depending on source). Still it’s not credible they would be a top team in MLS. Maybe the model is flawed for super dominant teams?

Ok my this my L.A.FormelyChivas story. My friends son who knows nothing about soccer was wearing a L.A.FormelyChivas hat while I was wearing my Galaxy jersey. He asked me jokingly how I could cheer for such a week team. I ran off a calm 5 minute rebuttal lol I said you mean " One of the 10 founding teams, the team who has been to 9 MLS cups and won 5. You mean the team with Hall Famer Cobi Jones and Jorge Campo one of Mexicos all time greatest Goalies as well as The Legend Landon Donovan the greatest American soccer player ever with the most MLS goals scored ever. You mean the team with The Captain of the Irish National team 3 time MLS Cup winner Robbie "Keano" Keane. You mean the team who brought David Beckham to the MLS and helped put a spotlight on U.S soccer. The Galaxy has had players like Steven Gerrard the Captain of the UK team and Ashley Cole recognized as one of greatest defender of his generation. His reply was that all old news ... I said we won a Championship in 2014 and currently we have Zlatan Ibrahimovic 1 of 3 active players with more then 500 goals. I then said "you might recognize the other two Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo " ? He said yeah "I play Fifa20" lmao. When he said that I just laughed and said "yeah your right I dont know why I root for the Galaxy" lol

Sound like it’s not him but a family member? That’s weird to step away from a team and enter into a program when it’s not you. I guess maybe no one else can handle it so he has to? Just seems strange.

That Diamonde absence is a big one if its not sorted out by the playoffs. I'm just not half as scared of a Chivas team with Vela as lone forward as I am with him on the wings. They took a gamble getting rid of Ramirez to Houston, I hope it bites them in the ass.

That would make sense as he did ask the LAFC fans not to throw beer over him when he scored, due to his religion.

That suggests he doesn't drink which I'd have to think would make him unlikely to abuse substances in general.

Though of course, it's not like addicts don't ever hide their affliction.

Yup. Their goaltending and defense is suspect and they replaced goalie with a veteran and old euro. Could work out.
Their defense doesn’t look any better. They keep spending their money on forwards.

You know, I kind of think the best indicator of the best teams is record from the close of the summer transfer window till the end of the season. That’s the period of time where everyone is all in.

Lafc, for all their excellence, is pretty mediocre in this time window.

Their "single game" tickets just went on sale. However, to buy the Galaxy game you have to buy 2 other home games as well. No thanks. Stubhub for me I guess.
