[emoji779]Gerard Piqué has forgiven €20M of his salary from Barça, he is the only player who has done so.

Dafuq is any of his business if a Madrid player is doing step overs in the middle of the field ? That's their problem. Can these people really be this little and stupid ?

A tweet from the account of Mikel Camps, the deputy spokesperson for the Barcelona board of directors, made the astonishing claim, which was subsequently deleted. It was, however, shared by several news outlets - including Spanish publication COPE.

During Real Madrid's 2-1 win against Braga in the Champions League on Tuesday night, the tweet on Camps' Twitter profile read: "It's not racism, he [Vinicius] deserves a slap for being a clown. What do these unnecessary and meaningless stepovers represent in the center of the field?"

It looks like Felix only had a knock and will be fine for El Clasico.

ex Barca - Messi wins record 8th Ballon
current Barca - Aitana Bonmati wins first Ballon for women, after injured teammate Alexia Putellas won the prior two years
Barca women also won team of the year (Man City for men's team)
ter Stegen in 5th place among all keepers (won by Messi's Argentina NT teammate, Martinez)
Balde - only 7th!?! in Kopa won by Bellingham, Gavi and Pedri got more votes even though you cannot repeat win, ex-Barca La Masia, Xavi Simons, finished 6th
Haaland wins as best forward (Gerd Muller award)
Vini Jr wins humanitarian award (Socrates award)

The 'club of the season' award needs to die. Most absurd thing I ever heard. Especially now as we have not 1 but two overlapping club world cup competitions (on the men's side).

Yeah, I agree it is a bit stupid. Club of the Year seems like it will always come down to either the team which won the CL, especially if they also won their league (as both Barca Women and Man City Men did). Was curious if Argentina Men or Spain Women NTs were even eligible? Or is it just "clubs" and not "national teams"?

That led me to finding this piece of B.S. - the actual basis of the club of the year is how many Ballon nominees a club had. What a stupid criteria:

The Club of the Year Award is a new award presented as part of the Ballon d'Or award ceremony. It was first presented in 2021, as was the Striker of the Year Award. The Club of the Year Award goes to the club with the most Ballon d'Or nominees. - https://www.topendsports.com/sport/soccer/awards/club-of-the-year.htm#google_vignette

Anyways, came here to say the I just read that Pedri was cleared to play! But Frenkie not expected back till later in November.

Dammit. These young players are just way too overplayed. The calendar is too full of fixtures in any case.

On the bright side, everyone should be watching this Femení team, who are making a solid case in the last few years to be the greatest team ever to play in the women's game.

Another dominating performance in El Clásico - a manita - and it could've been much more. FCB Femení have a 12-0-0 record against their supposed rivals, and they make it look so easy.

Gavi's injury is somewhat inevitable. After all, playing way too much when you are so young and your body is still developing is not good at all.

    Wish him best recover.

If there's a sunny side to Gavi's injury, it is that he's so young that one would anticipate his recovery to proceed faster and better than an older man. Meanwhile, De Jong has to be back at some point.

I don't get why Gavi had to be risked for El Rojo in such a "nothing" fixture, but here we are.

Now, let's see what Xavi comes up with tactically, given what he has on hand.

I'm learning from people online who claim themselves to be physiotherapists and orthopedists that overplay has nothing to do with ACL injuries, unless there's an active hamstring problem (since the hammie is the muscle that protects the ACL). So I guess we can chalk this up to stupid luck. If it hadn't happened during an insignificant Spain match, it could've happened in a Liga or CL match.

Javier Tebas resigns as president of La Liga!

Before you pop the champagne though... he's going to run again to seek a 4th term.
