BTW has the Galaxy ever done something like this before? Walk-up for a first team game at the main stadium? Am I wrong in thinking there could be a lot of people there?
It the opener so maybe, but this thing has a very lame duck feeling to it. I did not care for Chivas but at least they were a good rival for a short time. Now we are playing a nameless team in LA II whose identity will change as soon as they get new owners.
I wouldn't miss it. I'll be the extremely dashing fellow surrounded by a plethora of beautiful women and fawning toadies.

I know this is kind of last minute, but I checked with the Toadies Union and they will cost me time and a half if anyone sits near me in a "premeditated manner for purposes of basking in reflected glory" (their terms, not mine), so you'll have to make seem like you were just happening to sit near me through sheer serendipity.

From an Ops point of view this is a full game. Pre-game patter. Half time games. Good crowd too. Better than CCL. It's a pretty surreal experience. Cheering both ways. Hard to draw many conclusions though. GI seems turn it on in fits & spurts; GII defending in numbers and looking to score on the break. Some good stuff from GII though. Funny moment, #55 gets a hard-ish foul and does about 5 rolls grabbing his leg. Landon, who's nearest pats the guy on the back and says something, which I guess is along the lines of "hey it's a practice match no need for theatrics" and #55 pops right up. Oh and Mendiola is a titchy little thing. Not exaggerating but from my angle I'm not sure he's taller than the corner flag.
