Qualifying for '06 Cup Starts Sept. 6 (Los Angeles Times) This was a headline on the MLSnet newstand for 5/16. I'm curious since the FIFA qualifying draw for all confederations will be held December 5 in Germany. I suspect it refers to CONMEBOL starting earlier (in the past, they have received exemption to to the length of their QR), but I am not a registered LA Times reader. Anyone read the actual article?
Yeah if u look down the thread listing I wrote something about this, and actually 4 matchdays of CONMEBOL qualifying will happen in the year 2003. Also, CAF preliminaries begin in October, though I don't know exactly how that will be just yet. 109 days until the QR begins...
