A little wear and tear on Freddy, but he sounds like he's ready to get back to it.

"I feel better,' he said. "I've been recovering little by little. It's not easy to play game after game, including the national team, and go 100 percent....''

Garcia has not recorded a point since his assist in the season opener April 5. Thus, the decision to sit him down for a while....

Garcia accepted the temporary demotion as a necessary evil to regain the form that made him so dangerous down the left flank in the postseason...

Andrulis wants to see Garcia whip crisp passes into the box for the forwards and make forays of his own to keep the defense honest.

"He's not seeing enough of the ball,'' Andrulis said. "We want to get him the ball in more dangerous situations....''

He's been getting mugged about every game. I'm getting pretty fed up with the lack of calls and cards for physical fouls and professional fouls. MLS would be a much faster league without some of the hacking.

I'm certainly no expert, but the EPL and SeriaA games I watch seem much more strictly reffed in these areas.

Bill and other refs; what's the deal? I'm not suggesting touch me not Soccer. I'm talking about the blatant crap on the wings etc.

If you had a chance to watch the Fire/Revs game, Alex Prus called the kind of match I suggested above. 4 cards with 3 for "professional" fouls (i.e. I was beaten badly so I knocked him down) and a dnagerous play to Bocanegra for a two footed studs up tackle on the ball. Hopefully, the league got a wakeup call after the Kovalenko massacre and wants to see a faster game.

Stewart would have been carded out for the trashy fouls on Freddy last week and quick guys like Freddy and K-Mart should get some better calls.

BTW - NE found their offense or the Fire can't play D without game slowing fouls. CJ Brown (Pro Foul posterboy) got carded out. Jay Cheapshot got one, too.

freddy's still not back in form.
he has some moments of brilliance on the defensive side...

let's not talk about his services though.
