Moving right along, lets not forget we have a couple of league matches to worry about. Who will be the key in the Fish v Twill battle?
Man, all I care about is SWEET REVENGE!!! That lame game at Gillette Stadium (LOL) earlier this year was utter hor$e$hit. This time around, Twellman won't get so lucky. Poor Serna, he's hurt, so sad. Their defense is on the fringe right now, so barring injury or absolute tragedy on the field, I don't see scoring being a problem for the G's. Who's their most dangerous player (other than TT) you might ask? Steve Ralston (OK I admit that fool looks like a charter member of Lambda Lambda Lambda), and he can play, real well at that. Need to man mark him. Unleash Marshall! Anyway, if we control the midfield, incorporate Cobi more into the attack, and supply some decent service to Fish, a 3-0 or more scoreline would not surprise me one bit. See y'all at the game, GO GALAXY GO!!!
BRING ON THE REVS!!!!!!! Twellman v "El Pescadito"!!!! Doesn't get better than this and, fortunately, the game IS on MLS Shootout on DirecTV. IMHO our D will shut TT down, while Ruiz will make Sommer his "bitch". As bad as the Revs' defense is, we should get NUMEROUS chances. The question is will we FINISH our chances??! If we do, I see a good old-fashioned A$$-WHIPPING, something along the lines of 4-1!!!! I see "El Pescadito" with another 2 goals. Of course, we must remember that the Revs CAN score goals in bunches, so therefore I hope our D is ready for the challenge. (1) With the game at the RB (2) revenge for the 3-2 loss in Foxboro earlier this year & (3) MOMENTUM riding high after Wednesday nite, IMHO the ingredients are in place for a ROUSING Galaxy victory!! GO, GALAXY, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't forget our special song to Winston Griffiths: I was gonna go to practice then I got high I wasn't gonna miss the plane then I got high Now Sigi's cut my ass and now I know why Cuz I got high I got high I got high
second verse: I was gonna play for the G's but then I got high I was gonna help them win some Cups but then I got high Now I'm playing for a piece of ************ team and I know why 'cause I got high, 'cause I got high 'cause I got high
Fact or fiction I was at first pretty pleased when we grabbed Griffiths who sort of explained his release as related to getting bumped by Cobi's return. I was not happy to hear about his problems with attending practice. I get the impression we already have enough problems with that. Now I read your song and have to wonder if it's just a song or if these have been documented problems with our new left mid. Have their been real concerns about Griffiths drug use? Is there a real story about missing a plane?
Re: Fact or fiction Well, he is from Jamaica! Only kidding, I don't think drugs were a factor in his being cut. Now as far as rokstedy and solrac9 are concerned... I was gonna move to LA, but then I got high, I was gonna apply to UCLA, but then I got high, Now I'm stuck in Idaho tryin' to raise my GPA, Cause I got high, cause I got high, because I got high.
Re: Fact or fiction it has been written that he missed practice and missed a plane but as far as the drugs we just talk a lot of smack....Jamaica and all......
If I'm the Gals, I put three guys on Twellman, and dare anyone else on the field for the Revs to score. Oh, and Adin Brown is probably going to start. He seems to be off and on so far this year. He played very well the last time around when he shut out United, but who doesn't shut out United these days? As bad as the Revs' defense is, we're significantly better when Llamosa plays, and we border on good when Llamosa and Pierce play. Of course, Pierce won't play, and neither will Heaps or Franchino. The Revs' defense is likely going to be Downing, Daouda Kante (...making his MLS debut), Llamosa, and Cullen. ...or they could be tired after playing 101 minutes on the road three days ago. Couldn't they? By the way, it looks like Griffiths will start, too.
I have no idea what the truth is regarding problems Griffiths had with us (or if he was just a rent-a-player while Cobi was in Japorea), but based on the skills he showed when he was in games, I for one am sorry that things didn't work out for him here.
exeprts from Califf and EZ planning stratedgy for NE game. Califf ( squeaky voice ) " EZ have you checked this months pictures in the Galaxy 2002 Calendar?" EZ ( take 2 drags, real mellow ) " Noooo MON... what be da pictures in da cal-en-dah....?" Califf ( irratated ) " Me mister pot head, mister super-jamaiican, mister wanna-be bob marley !!! , The pictures are of my super good looking face covered in sand... surfing , cuz i surf DUDE " EZ ( super Mellow, eyes barely open ) " dats great Mon... ear, u want a hit dis, right ear? " Califf ( Getting upset ) " NO..Damn it !!!, you know i dont smoke, drink, do drugs, no that bad mannnn. I am straight edge all the way, soul brother number 9" EZ ( real laid back ) " ahh yeah, right Mon. ya seem a lil tenzzzzz dan-eee. what seems ta be da problem? " Califf ( Anxious ) " You know i cant wait to put my Danny Califf signature move allover Taylor Tweelman & Steve Ralston. kinda like my famous.. figure 4-califf-lock, or the stone cold studsupper, or the world famous-califfer!!. Narrator ( Danny preceeds to tell EZ how he has always wanted to be Wrestler. But if it wasn't for the fact that a P.E. teacher told Danny he was a really good kick-ball player when he was in the 5th grade, we might know him better as? Galaxy crush Reveren's 19-2. the Fish supplies divine sacrament over there horrid carcasas.
Haha, great songs. TequilaJoal, that was funny. Everytime I come to this board, I always find myself laughing. I think it'll be an exciting game, but being at home, probably, LA will win. 2-1 LA or 3-1LA, mixed feelings, you know.
Truthfully, I wasn't enamored with the scoreline, but a win IS a win. Fact is that if it wasn't for Adin Brown, it would've been 4-1, at least. He was VERY good. Was VERY nervous that we were headed for OT before Cobi came through with a FABULOUS shot & goal. WAY TO GO, COBI!!!!! GREAT GAME. Cobi's first goal was a beautiful header (who knew Cobi could score that way??), but his second was probably better, especially considering the circumstances plus the fact that it came out of nowhere. Guess Cobi's not as washed up as some people think. Thought Cien was solid, as was Hartman (no chance on Hernandez' goal). Boy, they (Galaxy) sure don't make it easy on its' fans, do they?? GREAT win though, especially with Dallas & Colorado winning. GO, GALAXY, GO!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Saw Cobi, Lalas & Elliott head to the RS section after the GW goal. Looked GREAT. Can't wait to be a member of the RS!!! You guys look like you know how to have fun!!!!! Alex
Forget to mention how FANTASTIC Califf was marking Twellman. TOTALLY marked him out of the match!! Don't think he had ONE decent scoring chance. GREAT job, Danny boy!!!!
From my seat, it didn't look like Califf did that much. The Galaxy forced the Revs to play through the middle, and the Revs don't have anyone that can do it. Twellman didn't get more than a handful of touches all night long.
I believe Ruiz gets his first assist of the season, a nice cross to Cobi for his second goal. Awesome baby! And now I just thought of a song for him that RS could've sung. Oh well, maybe next when Cobi scores. And I believe Cien also played the full 90; we do need him out there. They're on a roll and hopefully it continues.
Small correction: Sasha came in for Cien with about 10-15 minutes left in the game. Maybe your recollection was "clouded" because3 your were down wind of Winston Griffiths.
Oh yeah, you're right. My memory isn't that great and it sure ain't because of Winston although he would be a great scapegoat.
