Nice. LxR, how do you, as a River fan away from home feel about the chants: "Jugadores, la cdsm, a ver si ponen huevo" or "Aunque ganes o pierdas ..." while Gorosito wants them to chant "Dale Campeon" all this during a Superclasico? When the team is being erased from the field? Also, how did you feel when the fans threw "maiz" to the players less than a year ago? Is it a general sense of proudness you felt towards what the fans were doing? No pun intended. It is something that the diverse River friends I have seem to be divided down the middle. .
I think both chants are fine.. I'm not too big on insulting players, but if they play as bad as they did the whole summer, I think they should know that the fans want to see a change and not just think everything is fine. I am not saying to insult them like crazy, but just that one chant is fine IMO. As for the "Aunque ganes o pierdas" and "en las buenas, y en las malas mucho mas" I think that's perfectly fine. No flags/songs fit in more perfectly in this situation, and I think the fans showed their passion by having an amazing attendance throughout last season. I don't think any River fan was happy with the maiz: most people (in fact, everyone I've spoken to about this subject) were extremely angry with the people that did that since it's more of a Bosteroesque act.

Los bosteros que son todos chamuyeeeros, Los bosteros vienen con la federaaal! Esta banda se la aguanta en todos lados, Esta banda caminando siempre va.. It's an old video, but it's really hard to find a video with this song. Great stuff.

Exhibit 86 - Torneo Clausura 2009: River vs. Rosario Central Oh, Rosario Central were the home team? I think the "Canalla" fans proved to Ahumada what "silencio atroz" really is. Sure, they received the team impressively at the beginning of the game, but I literally didn't hear a single chant from the Central fans after River's second goal. It was incredible: you would look at the stands and not a single body was moving.. even the flags stayed in the same exact place. I've seen some really silent crowds, but this was just pure amargura. Luckily I am not a fan of that team and my team's fanbase has "aliento", as seen in the above videos.
Exhibit 90 - Torneo Clausura 2009: River vs. San Lorenzo LOL! Que amargos los cuervos. Con River perdiendo 5-1 se escuchaba mas a LBDT que a toda la hinchada de San Lorenzo. Y eso que despues del partido de la Copa se burlaban del silencio atroz. Estos tipos ganando por goleada apenas se los escuchaba de vez en cuando. Encima sacan ese telon para tapar la amargura. Hasta los comentaristas dijeron "Gorosito mira a la hinchada de River y no entiende como siguen alentando con el equipo perdiendo 5 a 1." La hinchada de River se quedo 30 minutos cantando despues de que terminara el partido. ESO es alentar. Aunque ganes o pierdas, en las buenas y en las malas.
Exhibit 91 - Torneo Clausura 2009: River vs. San Lorenzo (Videos) Cuervo te queres matar! Hasta ganando 5 a 1 se escuchaba a la hinchada de River cantando "Noooo se escucha, no se escuchaaa, soooooos amargo.. cuervo hdp!". Trataste de devolverla con la misma cancion, pero lo unico que se escuchaban eran las canciones de River: "senores yo soy de la banda de LBDT", "jugando bien o jugando mal", "esta hinchada se merece ser campeon", "decime voka", etc.

Exhibit 96 - Copa Libertadores 2009: River vs. Nacional (URU) (Pt. II) For those of you who couldn't tell, River was actually the away team! The match was played in the Estadio Centenario, located in Montevideo, Uruguay. Still, that wasn't an excuse for thousand of River fans to not make the trip.
Exhibit 98 - Torneo Clausura 2009: River vs. Racing I'll probably post some videos tomorrow (if I remember). Edit: Is it just me or are the pictures on BS even smaller now?
Exhibit 99 - Torneo Clausura 2009: River vs. Racing (Video) Keep in mind that this was +/- 20-30 minutes after the game had ended (notice how the rest of the stadium is already nearly empty). River had just lost 1-0 to last-place Racing, but the fans still stayed singing, supporting, and showing their passion for the club. It's already a common thing for River fans: not only when we win, but also when we lose (i.e. - after losing 5-1 to San Lorenzo this season the same thing happened). "ACA NO HAY BANDERAS NEGRAS, Y LA HINCHADA NO SE VAAA!"
