The fan's "aliento" has been fantastic all season. Everytime the rivals score, you can hear the fans more and more. Vs. Lanus on Sunday, for example, we were the away team and were losing in the first five minutes, yet I heard our fans a million times more than the Lanus fans. Truly amazing. Exhibit 76 - Para Ahumada! Yeah, I remember the Mexican commentators on Fox were really impressed. They kept on mentioning how it was crazy how the fans were singing the whole game, and that Chivas' goals just made the fans be heard louder. A similar thing happened on Saturday vs. Lanus. "Te queres mataaaar, te queres mataaaar.. te queres matar che bostero, te queres mataar!!"
Exhibit 77 - Torneo Apertura 2008: River vs. Huracan (Pt. I) It's good to see the famous "Aunque Ganes o Pierdas" flag -that once appeared in the Bombonera- back. It's incredible to see the stadium the way it is every Sunday. The flags, the constant non-stop singing, and the people in general give anything but a feeling that the team is in last place in the tournament and has only won 1 of 14 games. "ESTA HINCHADA SE MERECE SER CAMPEOOON!"
Exhibit 79 - Torneo Apertura 2008: River vs. Independiente ^^ Ya se acerca noche buena, ya se acerca navidaaaad Aca no hay banderas negraaas, y la hinchada no se vaaa!! ^^ Por que a River lo quiero lo vengo a alentaarrr, Por que a River lo quiero lo vengo a alentaarrr, En las buenaaaas... y en las malas mucho maaaas! The first video is amazing. All the River fans singing extremely loud, and when you thought they couldn't get any louder..... goal! and the stands explode. Que lindo es ser de River. Hinchada hay una sola. Es algo incomparable.

Despite being last in the tournament, and barely having won 2 of 15 games played so far, the fans' support has been out of this world. River is the team that has sold the most tickets out of any Argentine team this season, and the players are noticing it. This is what Vega -who started vs. Independiente last Sunday- had to say: La 12: Imitarlos? No gracias. Igualarlos? Me daria verguenza! Aguante River y Los Borrachos del Tablon!
Do we have the best fans or what?! Being dead last, the fans are there no matter what. Wonder if it would be some other team if their fan base would be as loyal.
