I guess we will also used this for the clubs participating in international competitions as well less clutter for the forum IMO.

    So tonight we have
    Comunicaciones vs. Once Deportivo.

Sadly I expect them to get trounced but hopefully they can put up a fight.

Also one midweek game took place with FAS defeating Jocoro FC 4-1. I had posted on of the goals in the other threads to show the lack of speed in our league.

Whats happened so far and things we learned

    upload_2021-9-24_19-2-26.png

Alianza and FAS dominating the league, while Limeno and Isidro Metapan are struggling this season.

Three coaches have been sacked so far
Spaniard coach Juan Cortes from Isidro Metapan replaced by Misael Alfaro
Mexican Bruno Martinez from Limeno replaced by Jose Romero
Costa Rican Ricardo Serrano from Chalatenango replaced by Erick Dowson Prado

List of goalscorers so far and yes you aren't reading it wrong there are no Salvadorian goalscorers in the top 5

On a personal I am loving having Platense in the first division my family from the Zacatecoluca area, we have a big and passionate fan base, and its being shown by large away crowds showing up at the stadium

Didn't he leave the country to play in Guatemala last year? I think if he leaves the country within 5 years he can't play for the national team, unless FIFA changed the rules.

Jorey Garcia (Hofstra University ‘21 and ES U-23) looks to be at CD Aguila now. Best of luck to the guy :D

Reasons why we can’t advance in our football.

These teams want instant results and won’t allow for long term coaching. It’s infuriating, and then we go into the collection of trashy coaches that get recycled to replace.

Yes government interference usually leads to FIFA suspension.

It has already has happened twice to your neighbors but since we are third-world we don't listen.

This screams possible money laundering… unless they are going the route of using it as a developmental/womens league maybe it could work who knows.

Alianza wins the championship defeating Platense 2-1.

Alianza is now tied with Águila with 16 chips overall. FAS still leads with 18

I don’t mind this move. Chalatenango has been more player friendly when it comes to guys being let go abroad. So far they’ve done it with the multiple foreign talent hopefully this can open it up for our local guys.

Chalatenango has essentially accepted that it’s a sellers club which is something that is truly needed, because A) It helps keep the club financial stable which is an issue we always see in El Salvador. B) Other clubs have eyes on them scouting constantly. Something we hoped Alianza would have been, but they were more worried about being the big fish in the tiny pond.

If more teams went this route we would have more eyes from other nations.

Late as hell but Alianza wins another championship via PKs.

Águila had a man advantage and never did much with it horrid management by the coach and performance by the players.
