Vista Hermosa win the playoff game 1-0 against Metapan and progress through to the finals.

They will now face FAS while Firpo will play Aguila.

I'm gonna snap if Aguila doesn't make it to the final...it's about time!

Game are scheduled to be played on.....

Saturday (kickoff at 3pm) - Vista Hermosa v FAS
Sunday (kickoff at 3.15pm) - Firpo v Aguila

This could change in the coming days though as Vista is making an application to play it's game on Sunday due to just having played the playoff yesterday.

Atlético Marte se confirmó como uno de los equipos que mejor juega al fútbol, pero les pesó la falta de gol. Por esa razón reforzarán la delantera para el próximo torneo.......

Osael is MONEY on Free Kicks man...que golazo .

Too bad VH is inexperienced (I don't understand why they kept doing long balls when they were clearly ineffective and most of their crosses were horrible) and can't finish (That miss in the 1st half by #9 from VH on the header, I know Portillo gets credit for a great save, but a real finisher KILLS that chance)...and the ref blew it by not calling that PK early in the 1st half...clear handball even streched his hand out lol...

More of an error on the part Portillo rather than a Golazo. Yeah nice shot, but the placement was off and if Portillo would have stretched his arms out fully he would have had it easily.

Either way it's a good thing they got one back; makes things just that little bit more interesting for the second leg next week.

At this point i'd much rather Bonilla over Martin. Bonilla has done well to prove that he's got what it takes to hold down his spot, Martin on the other hand struggled to do anything significant since his return from injury.

As for Monteagudo, well he's just been subbed in at the start of the second half, hopefully he does well.

I know 2-0 is a dangerous score in this sport...but I'm very confident that Aguila is going to the final. :)

Unlucky for Blanco. Hopefully he can sign on to another first divison club and get more game time next season. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at Firpo, but we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Hi all, I am SO behind with all me ES footy .... just have not been able to keep up at all (its a joke in UK, you barely see any footy at all on the telly if its not bloody premiership ... ) anyway, in case this has not been posted already (sorry if it has) the 1st division in El Salvador has a new website

    http://www.primerafutboles.com/

Interesting to see they have published the taquillas there . info which is pretty hard to get in most leagues...

anyone got any idea how Santa Tecla FC are doing? Cheers

I knew they'd been working on updating the site for awhile now but i didn't know they'd changed the URL. Thanks for the link.

They finished the regular Apertura season at the top of group A only losing two games from 20 matches (also with the best attack in the league).

They have just managed to qualify to the semifinals where they will face Once Municipal (Nelson Ancheta's team).

The other semifinal will be played between ADI (Rodolfo Zelaya's old team) and Vendaval.

Thanks mate!! On no!! a bit of a mixed loyalty for me that ..... I found Ancheta marvellous when I was there, a proper "character" ... hang on, is he back there? But of course they are one of the few clubs around the world called "The Canaries", like my beloved City .... yet I loved going to Las Delicias when there ... my daughters first ever game was there!

So glad that they "won" group A, they had ambition there, but were still a really friendly club, a great place to watch footy I thought ... (and for only 2 bucks in...) the put it up to $4 for the play-offs which is quite a hike...

Thanks for info, will try and keep an eye on that! Oh I dont think i have longed to be there this much since we left ...

That's just the sad reality of how things are in our league right now. And one reason i can't understand why so many people call for the clubs to build such large stadiums (20,000 plus). I mean even the biggest clubs are hard pressed to get anything more than 2-4 thousand fans at home week in week out. In fact apart from FAS, Aguila and Alianza most don't even come close to making those numbers. So that said 5,895 is actually a pretty good turnout.
