No La Liga on GolTV or ESNPD this season and no word where and when new channels will be available. If you live in the U.S. then get ready to watch La Liga on RojaDirecta. We got screwed again :(

I've been reading up on this the past few weeks and so much is still up in the air. Sucks because none of us can make cable plans until we know who will carry beIn. beIn is Al Jazeera's sport channels.

Sucks when the channel you grow used to doesn't extend to sells their rights to football games. It's happened a few times to me.

Quite frankly, I'll be happy to switch to Dish if that will be the US based provider, I've been looking for a way to ditch Comcast for ages  I'll miss Ray Hudson though

The good thing is Al Jazeera really offers fantastic coverage of football so when the dust settles and everyone's butthurt soothed it will be probably all be worth it.

Come now, no need for passive aggressive retorts  Dish was just an example, nobody really knows who the provider will be, we'll just have to wait and see ;)

fuuuuck this shit. Whatver i'll donwload replays, I will be at work most the time anyways. I don't blame them. Business is business, but i don't think a lot of Americans will switch because of soccer.

Who knows they might have an Interwebz option on a subscription basis, ala WatchESPN, that would be fantastic enough to make me cry because I could drop cable of any kind altogether :D

A couple of years back there was no tv broadcast of la liga for one season in India, and the net speed wasn't half as fast as what is needed to watch online. Had to stay up to read text commentary every weekend :( ...matches start at 1-2 a.m....so, you guys could have had it worse :)....I do hope it get's clearer for you all.

Well you're right there, anything is an upgrade over Comcast. I like DirecTV though and would just rather not go through the hassle of changing providers if it came to that, but after doing some investigation it sounds like DirecTV is at least in negotiations to be one of the providers and quite frankly I can't see them letting Dish get one over on them unless there are some kind of extenuating circumstances.

I also saw something that suggested these jokers might simply 'buy' GolTV which would mean no switching necessary. Wouldn't that be nice?

We have Verizon FIOS... they haven't been able to answer a single question with something other than "I don't have that information at the moment."

Sometimes there's a lot of posturing but in the end it gets sorted out. I have hope. We'll be fine.

I've been pestering beIN Sports for a while now. All they can say is: "contact your provider and ask for us" ... what a waster of time.

I saw something today about beIN working with a company called Imagina USA to sell the channel to US providers. According to some exec at Imagina, it looks like the channel will launch with ONE (1) provider. Their hope is to get to TWO (2) providers. It is believed that some news will be shared on Aug 1.

There are also some rumors about Prisa looking at an alternative for Spanish language rights, but that seems to be more rumor mill than anything else.

If anyone learns anything new, please share. Thanks!!

What kind of bullshit is selling to only two providers?

So I have to end contract and sign another with most likely a rubbish company just to get what I already have been?

What a way to announce yourself to the Western side of the world.

Bullshit is a good word. And of course I log on to bigsoccer and see beIN Sports banner ads all over the place. UGH!

Feels like we'll be back to the days of streaming/downloading/squinting in front of a laptop.
