    LA @ KC Game 2 Pre/Post match discussion (R)

I don't believe there are any injuries and there are no suspensions.

Now, the real question is, will Bunker Bob allow KC to play so everyone watching here on the west coast doesn't fall asleep or grab the remote by half time?

Looks as though Sigi wants to bring Pete back into the lineup.

    Pan-galactic view

It says that Pete does a lot of things to connect the team out of the midfield and I think that is right.

Better to have him on Preki than Lalas!

You would think after 7 years of Preki doing the exact same cut left and shoot move SOMEONE would catch on. I like how the defender kept pushing and pushing him to his left. I was screaming NO! Jez. Don't these guys watch the other games?

Two games, bunker bob tries and [rotect and early lead
    or
open game for the run and gun

the first i think is good for winnable by any of the two

the second is favorable to LA because of superionr firer power.

El Pescadito Ruiz is going to finish Kansas City tonight. He is going to score twice. I have a feeling that we are going to be champions this season. I'm so happy with the team. I hope San Jose wins, I would love to take on San Jose in the semifinal.

    :(

we didn't play particularly well tonight (obviously). i don't think 4-1 is a totally accurate score, but the wizards played very well. hopefully we don't go three in row for poor performances.

i wonder if the san jose series at the end, exhausted both teams? there was a lot at stake in those final two games and it wouldn't surprise me to find that both teams find it hard to, get their game on again.

oh well the night wasn't a complete loss :D

Wow. Bunker Bob was a no-show in Kansas City. I would not believe the leopard could change his spots, but he never called off the attack.

That sets up a very, very interesting game on Wednesday.

    See you guys, Wednesday.

The Galaxy looked about as flat as a team could be this evening. The defense left KC with far too much room to operate. The passing was simply bad. The team appeared to be completely out of synch. If the Galaxy show up on Wednesday evening, MLS fans should get a very entertaining game.

i thought mullan did okay, created some dangerous plays in the kansas end of things, his final touch is lacking.

albright seems to be getting better. still not sold on him, but the ball juggling and then pass to simon was brilliant and probably should have been a goal. also his shot from the halfway line was great!

My problem is not with the fancy stuff its with the fact that putting them in the game never changes the outcome. So when we start subbing i know we are done because wedont have any super subs

We got our asses handed to us, good job KC, you deserved to win, and honestly the way we've played we don't deserve to be in the play offs let alone cup contenders, but as well all know it does take a little luck.

Lets hope we can pull our collective heads out of our asses and show KC what we're made of.

Incase anyone forget, last year we were in a much worse positon and came through in the first round, we drew 1-1 at home to the mets, then got our worked, again by a 4-1 score line, and we all know how that ended.

This time a tie is fine, we just can't lose, then we go to a mini game.

    Albright's goal

Now I'm no fan of Albright, and I probably shouldn't be saying anything here based on how my team did today, but Albright's goal was f'n hilarious. The image of the KC defenders trying to get Tony Meola's attention as the ball flew over their heads, and Meola with his back towards the shot, seeing the ball show up in his net, and looking like he was saying "How did that thing get there?"... awesome.

I had to laugh at LA's goal. I didn't at the time, but looking back it was hilarious. Shows that you have to have your head in the game for 90 full minutes. Think if the game were 2-1 at that point...

I think the Wizards showed many people, most importantly the LA fans that posted on BS that the series was over come saturday, that they arent as bad as most thought. I still think on paper, or over 10 games, LA's the better team. But right now its 90 minutes of soccer that separates LA from the "embarassment" of losing to KC. I hope at least some of you earned some respect for our team Saturday.

Good luck Wednesday, it should be a great game 3. I really hope Garcia and Ruiz keep their heads and dont make this game turn ugly. The way things have built for the first 6 meetings this year though, it could boil over at any moment.

Good job, KC! Although Morelia never saw it, the Wizards are capable of playing good footy, and they put it together at the right time.

Because your team won, you get a post fix, free of charge. :D

The respect was already there. Good teams know what they're up against, and the GaLAxy won five straight by respecting their opponents. KC had to kick it up several notches to survive, and they did. Expect to see a different GaLAxy team on Wednesday. If KC plays with the same quality as they did on Saturday, it will be an outstanding match. Good luck to KC.

    Simply Shite !!!

    That was pathetic...

    That was embarrasing...

    That was disgusting...

    That was humiliating...

and Galaxy don't get me started about your play either...

We are definately going to win the Championship now, The Galaxy are just like the Lakers, they play well below the level of their competition on the road.. because it humbles them. They gain a sense of sympathy and an aire of shock when they destroy the other teams hopes and dreams in the Rose Bowl.

This team has a great flair for Drama... they bring us up.. and then drop us down..

Its playing out like a true hollywood screenplay.

Hey, I'm gonna paraphrase someone from the LARiotsquad.net forum when they brought this to light...

LA had just won 4 games straight in MLS in a season where nobody had even won three in a row. It was time to break the streak. And I'd rather it be now as opposed to next Wednesday. With homefield advantage and the world looking on, I can assure you, the G's will be out for impirical revenge.

I'm really struggling with this one. Usually I can figure out phonetically what folks "meant" to type around here, but I really can't make anything out of "impirical" as it might relate to "revenge."

    Any help?
