Kaka would be great, but I doubt it is going to happen. I'd rather we try to get Del Piero!

I can already hear Jim Rome if this deal went through:

"The Galaxy made a new signing today . . . and his name is Poop."

Apperantly Del Piero might go to Mexico's Cruz Azul or Club America, or even England,Doubt he'll come to the Galaxy for anything less than a DP spot, i would give a 37 year old a DP spot unless he's Beckham!

You misread the title of the article. It was:

    "LA Galaxy playing like kaka."

I'd rather have an aging Lucio than aging Kaka at this point.

whats the point of MLS paying its millions towards ageing Euro stars when those millions would see a much better return if they were put into youth development.

    i dunno...is this a radical opinion?

look at NY Red Bull. 10.2 million a year just for two players, one of which has been a disaster.

There's a big opportunity cost for doing that. What if you took that 10 mil and put it into youth development? Overtime you would develop your own elite players. Then when those players want to leave to Europe, you sell them then use the money to develop more.
