I forgot to say # of goals for our GB. Pec will score 12 goals. As a bonus: Across all competitions (assuming mostly healthy year for each player) Klauss will score 9 (he won’t be starting every game methinks) Paintsil 9 (Im assuming he will miss a month for the WC?), Reus 5, Cuevas 4, Lepley 3, Nasci 3 (leaving in June?), Ramirez 4. How much faith do I have in those very specific predictions? Almost 0%!

Supporter's Shield Finish: 14th Western Conference Finish: 7th Playoff Prediction: Missed CONCACAF Champions Cup Prediction: Quarterfinals Golden Boot Winner and Goals Scored: Klauss - 12 MVP: Glesnes Player that surprises us (in a good way): Garces
Yep. I wasn't impressed by the CVI games, either. Still no midfield to speak of. Too much possession for possession's sake. Goals regularly conceded on set pieces. Movement off the ball when it happens is mostly defensive and rarely offensive. We've seen this movie before, and we know how it ends.
You can release your post-game 1 predictions - I don’t think there are any set rules to this thread. Right Trickhog?
1. 15th 2. 6th 3. exit 2nd round 4. 4th place 5. Klauss 11 6. MVP Klauss 7. Wynder/Sanabria ... can I have two?
Yeah - I'm locking in everyone predictions who panicked after that first game and not letting them change it after the next 3...
My post game 1 prediction- Sanabria will not be our surprise breakout player. It will be one of the young guns - Wynder, Miller, Cuevas being even better than we thought or another one of the youngsters. I also think Garces will improve less than we hoped. He looked lost out there. The game itself was no surprise to me - it is how we looked with the “A-team” midfield in preseason. So I stick with my final standings predictions. Before you call me a pessimist note that I’m predicting significant improvement an over last year! Lowest bar in existence, but still.
I think Thommy can add a lot to our team. Everything I read about him suggests he likes to progress the ball with the dribble and is capable in central attacking areas. Can’t wait till he’s healthy and we can see what he brings to the team.
We should put some pro predictions in here. https://bsky.app/profile/jeffrueter.bsky.social/post/3mfcheh6pts2j in the Guardian, Jeff Reuter has us dead last in the West. That’s nuts to me.
I’m an idiot. Jeff Reuter picked us last of the playoff teams. I need reading comprehension training.
I love reading your predictions. I suck at these.... And I like the fact that MLS has a bit more parity so it's harder to guess...unlike the NFL.
I would like to add Marcinkowski as a second surprise player. I liked his play Thursday night and could see him beating out Micovic.
