can they really beat bulgaria by 3 goals or can they actually win the game? will they start whinning if denmark and sweden tied 3-3 or 4-4 and get knocked out? who will they blame first this time? the ref? totti? denmark? or sweden? although everyone's eyes are already set on the group's best matchup denmark vs. sweden, i will not ignore how italy perform and behave.

Italy will win 1-0. Trap is not going to change anything, the old goat. Whether they advance will depend on what the other two teams do.

Italy will win, and they will advance...but if the match between Denmark and Sweden does tie at a ridiculous score like 3-3, they would have a right to be very suspicious..

I don't know... Trap knows goals might become important if Denmark and Sweden should tie 1-1, which is a highly more probable scoreline to tie. If he only beats Bulgaria 1-0 they go out on goal differential. With all this hype about avoiding the 2-2 tie, I think he will try to make sure that goals are scored if a 1-1 tie should arise so he would have accomplished everything that's in their own hands and avoid getting knocked out. He'd rather go out because of the 2-2 tie then only win 1-0 and be shamed for life for not scoring an extra goal or two.

Plus, I think Italy are gonna come out trying to score as many goals as possible (although im not sure how many that will be) because they have a lot of doubters (as many should be) because of their incredibly poor start to the tournament. I think the team is going to try and score a lot of goals to evidence their ability to the world and get the press off their back who I feel is desuniting the team by assailing Trap for every decision (even though he's done a poor job) and trying to turn players on one another (Buffon and Vieri). Even if they go out because of the dreadful 2-2 tie, at least they went out with something instead of a monotonous 1-0 scoreline.

In any case, we will find out in the opening minutes whether or not Trap has decided to score more goals or if he will be content with a typical Italian win.

But Bulgaria has a lot of power since they are already eliminated. If they choose to keep all their players in their end, it won't be easy to score, particularly the way we have been finishing.
