This video caused the breakup? Unless there is more, I’m missing something.

I’m guessing the video lead to questions. He gave answers that she did not like. Relationship over.

There was a few times he went long balls out wide to Saka because he knew Saka would hold his position unlike some of his teammates who just ********ed about where ever they wanted.

he doesn’t show for the ball properly to the true organising player. compare him to rodri. it’s not even close. better to use him as an 8 where he is amongst the best couple of players.

yes. i agree with this. he doesn’t show between the lines to receive the ball out of defence. time and again he’d intentionally stand in the passing shadow to force the play wide.

Disagree somewhat: where Rice shows for the ball is a function of coaching.

But he can’t pass between the lines to Odegaard and the striker when he’s playing at the 6.

    Merino options.....
Arsenal - likes them and they have the money
Barca - needs/wants to wait because they need to sort out FFP
Atleti - not impressed by the project

Probably won't happen but it doesn't surprise me. Jesus and Zinchenko both came over 2 years ago to be starters, not squad players. Makes sense to me that both are exploring their options, especially with Calafiori coming over.

Not sure who would be on the board next with Sesko and Zirkzee off the table. Evan Ferguson?

I have no issues with OZ leaving. He can useful situationally but his defensive lapses are too much to play regularly.

Personally I would like to see Jesus stay in part because of his energy & effort and in part because he can play all 3 forward positions. That said, given his injury & finishing issues, I am ok moving him for a solid offer.

Really depends on how much money you want to spend.....

    Expensive options
    - Osimhen is still out there but I hear PSG are in talks
    - Rodrygo appears to be getting brushed aside at RM. They may not be willing to let him go yet but he is being excluded from hype adds with Mbappe, Vini & Bellingham getting all the focus.
    - Vlahovic could be available given the coaching change and continual financial issues.
    - Gyokeres is said to be available below his release clause now since no one is biting.
    - Rashford has been rumored to be available. May get a cheaper transfer fee but the salary will be huge.
    - Watkins could be an option. He would likely greenlight the deal and he would defenitely bring Jesus energy. I'm guessing Villa would want a little too much given his age.

    Potential bargains
    - Dovbyk has a relatively low release clause (40m I think?). Not sure if he is a good fit but he has height and can absolutely score goals
    - Jonathan David is rumored available on the cheap. We were rumored interested a couple summers ago. Has some versatility like Jesus.
    - Most recently we have been linked with Brian Brobbey from Ajax. Little short (5'10") but very strong and good vertical. Has had some nagging injuries that seem to flair up the most when the team have multiple games in a week.
    - Donyell Malen is rumored on the move this summer. Has the ability to play all 3 spots up top.

Seeing reports that we are one of a handful of bigger clubs that are in talks with Adrien Rabiot. Of the teams I saw mentioned, we are the only one with CL football that could possibly offer him a starting spot. He is another CM that I have always rated for us but I am curious if/how he would fit. Feels to me like he would be kind of a left-footed Rice.

Richarlison will jump before Jesus does. Unless it’s an offer Arsenal can’t refuse (£70m+, the cost of replacing him in this market) Jesus should stay.

None of these names are all that interesting to me, maybe Rodrygo but he's not a 9. Not big on the idea of someone 27-ish as backup for Havertz, don't see many of these guys happy in a backup role and would rather have someone young with upside.

Rabiot when Wenger was chasing him, maybe, not now, he’s 29.

    Rabiot is a head case

I would get anything we can for esr and Eddie and would also sell Kiwior, Jesus and Zinny

love to see us go all in for de jong and a forward like Williams after Califiori
