Kyle Martino

I already posted this in the Crew forum w/o much avail, but I figured since a lot of the people that post on here are pretty intune with young players and up and comers i'd throw it out here as well.

I have a question for you crew supporters. After watching MLS Wrap and seeing the New Soccer Nation Commercial a ton of times, which still gets me fired up btw, I swore that Kyle Martino looked really familiar to me.

Does anyone know anything about his prep career? I went to high school in Connecticut that would play the school in Wesport where he went. I think there's a good chance that I may have attended a soccer camp in Connecticut with him in the 10th grade. He might have even been on my 'team' at the camp. It was a camp at Suffeild Academy in Suffeild CT. Ironically I do remember that our 'coach' was the National Team Coach of the Faroe Islands, hah. Does anyone know if he played any other sports in high school too? Because I played soccer on the JV level and volleyball on the varsity level. I know I played against his high school in volleyball. I know that I never matched up directly against him in soccer, because from what I can tell he didn't play any or much JV. I know that our two varsity teams were both in the state tournament at the same time, but did not meet each other and did not meet at any time during the regular season.

Just after seeing him in that commercial so many times I keep thinking that I might have met him before.

Anyone who may have followed his prep career with any information would be helpfull. It's just one of those weird things that's been knawing at me. I'll probably wind up emailing the Crew but doubt that I'd get a response and don't want to come off like a psycho.
