And who's stopping them from not having a Kurdistan national team? Why are you making an issue out of this? Once Iraq gets federation status, Kurdistan will most probably have their own NT anyway.
I think 90% of the Kurd of Iraq... now satisfied to be Iraqis, since they got all they want and all they need… and I think you know that the president of Iraq Republic Jalal Talebani is Kurdish..
well...it wont be official.. just like Monaco NT. any way I will support them.. why not? After all they can play for Iraq NT too
Kurdistan will play viva world cup 2009. The VIVA World Cup is an international football tournament organized by the New Federation Board, an umbrella association for nations unaffiliated with FIFA, Padania is the host for 2009 edition. (north italy)
They will play against the likes of Padania, Sapmi, Provence, Occitania and Gozo (those last 2 they never played before against Kurdistan). I think you can follow the competition here: http://www.non-fifa-news-agency.tk

Hi guys, I found this Kurdistan football thread in the All Asia forums - thought you might like it in here so you can keep track of one of your regional teams. I know the Spain forum has threads for their Basque and Catelonia teams, even though they're not 'official' sides.

Nakba Cup in Palestine : Today Kurdistan 3-1 Mauritania Next is Indonesia NT http://footballpalestine.blogspot.com/2012/05/nakba-cup-schedule.html
Though Kurdish people are in a war situations but their football players are doing well, if they get red from this political turmoils, their player will get scope to play more efficiently.0Hhopefully,Iraq & Kurdish people will live together in peacefully.
I think it is kind of like the Catalonia situation where they have their own national team but cannot compete in FIFA tournaments but just friendlies. If the Kurds and Kurdistan every become independent I and other football fans around the world always welcome new nations, supporters and teams to the beautiful game. I would ask however how many Kurds currently are on the Iraqi national team? is the team still divided over sectarian and ethnic divisions?
