I thought Simon Elliot (sp?) did a good job last night with his commentary on the Fire/Revs match. He was articulate and interesting, and didn't feel the need to fill every silent gap with some inane bs, as most FSW announcers do. In my opinion, he was the best "analyst" that I have heard on FSW's MLS broadcasts. The worst: Paul Caligiuri, hands down. I don't think one graduates from Stanford without quite a few smarts. If only he could play as well as he talks. Every time I saw him play this year, he looked terrible. What do you think?
I agree. I'm his biggest critic this season on the playing field but I found his insight to be enjoyable last night. Career switch?
