Every time you wear it, it can be a reminder that he left for a much bigger club. :p

Don't worry you guys can have him for free. Buy Kroos get Contento free. Or do we need to give you back the Kroos money to take him?

He is not Bavarian and it was never his "dream" to play for Bayern like so many other young promising players. For him, Bayern was just his current place of employment. I don't think he ever considered himself "one-of-them" like Scholl and Kahn or Lahm and Schweini.

Yeah, I could tell by how quickly he got the hell out of there and how he glowed about Real Madrid.

Kroos would've stayed in Munich if they would have paid him the money he asked for.

I don't know how much he earns here, but he was certainly underpaid. Especially compared to Goetze or Thiago.

    Franck Ribéry - €12 million
    Mario Götze - €12 million
    Philippe Lahm - €10 million
    Bastian Schweinsteiger - €10 million
    Thomas Müller - €8 million
    Thiago Alcântara - €8 million
    Manuel Neuer - €8 million
    Arjen Robben - €7 million
    David Alaba - €7 million
    Javi Martínez - €6 million
    Jêróme Boateng - €6 million
Daniel van Buyten - €5 million
    Mario Mandzukic - €5 million
    Rafinha - €5 million
    Toni Kroos - €4.5 million
    Claudio Pizarro - €4.5 million
    Dante - €3.5 million
    Holger Badstuber - €3.5 million
    Xherdan Shaqiri - €2.5 million
    Diego Contento - €2 million
    Tom Starke - €1.5 million
    Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg - €1 million
    Mitchell Weiser - €0.5 million
    Julian Green - €0.5 million
    Lukas Raeder - €0.4 million
    Alessandro Schöpf - €0.2 million
    Patrick Weihrauch - €0.2 million

That 12m figure is false but multiple websites took it and ran with it at the time it came out. The real one is believed to be around 8m.

Y'all are paying Thiago almost double what Kroos received and some of your posters (not saying you) wonder why dude left so swiftly?

Oh and count me as one who sees the irony some of your buddies are complaining about disloyalty and players running to a bigger club because of higher wages. Isn't that like one of the corner stones of Bayern Munich's "greatness" in the Bundesliga??

Thiago had a lot of offers on the table that Bayern had to match.

Eh, rumors have Kroos being offered something between 6-8m. If it's 8m he got offered more than a fair deal, 6m is too low. But it's not about being fair or not, you guys were offering double or close to double and money talks. No issue with that because Bayern have done the same to other players.

That's what we gave him though.
He summed it up perfectly by saying: from Greifswald => Rostock => Leverkusen => München, naturally the next step was Real Madrid.

After taxes though. In Germany the numbers are given pre tax.

So what? Kroos I'm sure as well had many good offers on the table as well.

You pay Thiago almost double what you pay Kroos, then you have a public bitchfest about him not needing a big pay wage upgrade? That makes sense to you?

We did not offer Kroos 12-16 million. That is all fairytale. I agree that you don't, that wasn't for you.. just talking shit about your other buddies. :D

Kroos' contract paying him that sum was signed well before Thiago or anyone else. This was basically Kroos' first big number contract.

Madrid 12m before taxes, Bayern 6m before taxes(or 8m, unclear on that). So you could have been paying double what we offered.

So you guys showed him appreciation by low balling him? It's one thing to low ball a guy and at least own that your club did it and it is another thing to low ball then attack the guy when he leaves for being "money hungry" when half your team is only wearing your shirt because of earlier "starvation".

I know you pretty much agree with me here.

We are not paying him 12 million before taxes. I have not seen that number once in a non-German sourced paper, which is obviously bitterness.
