I am depressed. I can't believe we're losing Kroos after Modric just renewed.

 

True Madrid legend. Deserved his spot in the first 11 this season, he's reached another level.

 

I thought that he will continue for at least one more year after the strong season, which he had, and the decision to play at the Euro.

Schade! We are losing a lot of quality in midfield next year. Toni is a player, who can not simply be replaced.

 

I'm not ready for this.. each year some legend is leaving. Damn.. too sad

What a legend of the club. Just glad we got to see him play and that he’s making the decision on his terms, which is what he always wanted.

Huge loss for the midfield because there really isn’t another player like him. He was world class all year, and that assist to Vini v Bayern was top class.

I wonder who takes the number 8 and who takes our free kicks and corners now?

 

Kroos' leadership will be missed. It won't be easy without him.

 

F**k man. Champions league final will be Toni Kroos's last game as a Real Madrid player. What a legend. Maestro of the game. One of the greatest midfielders of all time. I feel a bit sad.

Even more reason for the team to win the 15th and send Toni out with a celebration.

Dude leaves at the top of his game. What a way to bow out. I will be forever grateful for how amazing he was for Real Madrid.

It hurts when any legend leaves, of course this club has had so many of them. The rationalization you could try and have is that most of them left when they were on a downturn or were guys whose natural replacement was already here.

Kroos has no natural replacement. He's one of a kind.

Even if I completely expected this from the moment that he returned to Germany for the Euros, the reports until the last week or so suggesting a likely renewal made be think I could be wrong. I wanted to be wrong. I hate that I wasn't. I'm usually wrong about five things a day between wake up time and my first time using the toilet, it's a shame I can't add this one to my list.

 

Damn. Didn't expect this. I know he has said in the past that he wants to retire while at the top, but hasn't seen anyone do that while winning. ZZ was de-motivated by RM not winning anything for 3 seasons and hence retired a year early.

Kroos retiring after one of his best individual seasons and a successful one for RM is unprecedented.

 

Tchou s favorite number is 8 and he is a starter so i suppose him.
Alaba, Modric, Rodrygo, Arda and perhaps Mbappe. obviously depending on direct, indirect, corner..

The midfield is going to miss a lot of elegance, and a freaking legend.
