Watching him play for Palermo right now, he looks capable.

There's a new list from Football Observatory listing 100 players born 2002 or later "whose level of experience accumulated over the past year puts them in the best position to successfully take their careers to the next level." Kristoffer Lund, I think, is the highest-ranked relevant-to-the-U.S. player, followed by McGlynn and Gutierrez. (There are MLS-based non-American guys, too. And the Nathan Wood on the list isn't the one with a YA thread.)

Kristoffer Lund has told the Danish FA that he is no longer available, because he has been selected for the USMNT. In truth he was not a regular starter for the Denmark U-21 and his chances of being selected at senior level for Denmark is pretty much non-existent, competing with Victor Kristiansen (Leicester) and Patrick Dorgu (Lecce) at youth level.

I was a bit too quick there, Victor Kristiansen signed with Italian Serie A side Bologna today. The report says that he is signed initially on loan, with Leicester receiving a €1million loan fee, with an option to make the move permanent for a fee of more than €15 million + possibly another €5 million in add-ons.

Need a new thread title as this one is two clubs ago now, and I think this thread may start to have more than one page every two years, and people other than BostonRed posting.

I've only seen him play twice, I think. Didn't seem like he's definitely an upgrade on our options behind Jedi or inverted ScallyDest, but may have a higher peak potential than a guy like Vines and could be competitive with guys like Tolkin or Wiley. Guess we'll see. Seems likely he'll get a debut cap.

Classic... you guys are pretty insane.

I saw the roster and thought there's no way this guy wasn't being tracked on BS... and boom 2.5 years before callup.

    Nerds unite!

A rather remarkable trifecta of DMN enthusiasms here, combining YA detective work, surprise MNT callups, and Palermo. Go guy go!

Except for one game, he has never played any other position but LB at senior level, and a few games as CB at youth level, so he is not a RB like Scally and Dest, as you wrote, he will be competing with Tolkin and Caleb Wiley.
