    Snip:

A goal in the first five minutes put the Swans ahead after Mitchell Bates struck wonderfully from 30 yards.

However, a goal either side of the break from Justin Obikwu looked to have given Coventry the three points, but the young Swans had other ideas.

Kyrell Wilson pulled the Swans level with a header in the final 10 minutes before debutant Kristian Fletcher netted the dramatic winner in stoppage time.

Came off the bench and scored the winning PK in a Welsh League Cup match for the U21s:

I believe the club is incorrect and that the PKs ended 5-3 (not 4-3 which wouldn't make sense based on the info provided).

The winning PK (plus a dangerous knee slide into his own GK):

u21s seems a bit low for his level, imo

made 10 appearances for DC United first team in 2023 ....now relegated to u21s for a struggling Championship side???

I mean they have to buy him and potentially play him some in the interim, don't they? Otherwise what's the point of their reserve/youth system. He's dominating. If anyone deserves a promotion, it's him.

I know there's the mutual ownership with DCU, but I'd figure Swansea is their higher priority, and Fletcher's always had designs on Europe. Strike while the iron's hot. Don't just send him back and demotivate him, with a hiatus in tow to boot.

The timing of this move coupled with the length of the loan makes it pretty challenging for Fletcher to get anything out of this.

As I said, there's mutual ownership, so it's not a conventional loan. The ownership group can just keep him there/sign for a nominal fee, if it's in their financial interest & the trial goes well (it has).

It looks to me like they're putting him in the shop window, to compare him to Swansea's own U-21s. If he looks favorable, it's not impossible for him to get a permanent deal. I wish he'd gotten a longer run at DC, especially since Taxi crapped out.

It's not really a shop window if the end goal is for one team to sell a player to a different team with the same owner.

Theyre in 17th but the middle of the table is still very compact. By points they're closer to the promotion playoff than the relegation one
