Kreis is gone? Future considerations? I hate that. He's Jason Kreis. Would San Fransisco traded Joe Montana to Kansas City for future considerations? Future considerations is some shell game crap that at the end of the day means we gave him away for a handful of beans. And FC Dallas is no fairy tale.
Not necessarily. Future considerations for Vaca turned into a good draft pick (s?). It may just depend on how much he plays. I'm more pissed about about attempted misdirection on GE's part. Maybe he was under orders from the league to keep in under wraps.
The final note has been played on the effects of HSG's take-over of the Burn. Long live the King and his re-birth! Now, is the birth of FC Dallas with an un-enlightened father doomed to the same disconnected patterns?
The 1954 Oscar for best film went to "Marty". In December, 1956, on the NBC quiz show "21", "contestant" Herb Stempel answered "On the Waterfront" in lieu of the correct answer, "Marty", allowing Charles Van Doren to "win". This is one of the best-ever examples of "Shenanigans". As you follow this board closely, you'll note that I posted "On the Waterfront" in a thread several days ago. -bs
Yeah. I didn't know what you meant then either. Not that I do now. But that's okay. Where is Ze Bill? Add one more quote from him and it'll feel like I'm on mushrooms.
Chris, the conspiracy (Bastard step-child theory) theory dates back to preferential treatments of major media markets. While major media markets deserve unique attention; it doesn't preclude diversified markets like Dallas from responsible consideration. And while the league did a more effective job - with the help of one enlightened Andy Swift - at investing in Dallas diversity; HSG's responsibility in dividing the harmony that existed is the more damaging result. But now, with the advent of FSEC and a commitment to growing the organization from the ground (community and investment in local youth - the foundation of the future) up, we have an opportunity to re-establish the confluence that celebrated diversified harmony - that this market so beautifully represents (Pegasus can testify to this; he lives it). If HSG cannot lead to this ultimate goal; then they should sell to a non-suppressive entity.
Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh... I get it. I am only vaguely familiar with that whole Quiz Show Conspiracy thing. You might as well have made a Fried Green Tomatoes reference. But it has become clearer now. Thank you.
The Kreis thing has been brewing for about a month. When I talked to Elliott on Monday night it was specifically about calls and trades that were coming up in the 24 hour window. SO perhaps I asked the wrong question. At the time I didn't think Kreis was going to be traded. I though it was a "we won't pull him back" kind of agreement. and Elliott didn't say anything on that front to make me think he was going to be traded.
3rd Degree- Does Jason know that RSL will be playing on the dreaded "Field Turf"? I figure he does, but I can't imagine him being too enthused about playing a 1/2 season worth of games on the stuff after what happened during the "Forgotten Season". IMO that stuff accelerates the wear & tear on players, especially their knees and ankles. I hope RSL gets things going on their new SSS quickly. Anyway, keep up the good work 3rd Degree. RM
I agree. No matter what kind of turf... RealGrass... Astro... Indoor crap... stay off it. I think I would play on hard Texas August clay over the fake stuff anyday. The soil has the natural give and will rip away before your tendons do. Damn.. Frisco better have a pitch like the Cotton Bowl! Kreis should have not been let go. Especially for ticket sales and the kiddos. Good luck to him. He is a true pro. He is really coming into form. I can't believe all the big names left unprotected. Of course this is a business and I'm sure all involve understand that. (i.e. The Nash Interview Last Night)
Re: Kreis That's the part that sucks with a move like. Adults, well, we're used to it and move on. I feel bad for the little guy.
http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20041117&content_id=19316&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp After reading this, I understand the Kreis move. It's still going to be like a punch to the gut the first time I see him in RSL blue lined up against 96, but c'est la vie. I'm waiting for Buzz to explain Salyer and Boom-Boom unprotected while freaking Quill is protected.
Well, I've got to believe he is worth an allocation... and if so, then we got a steal. If not, then we got two draft picks for a guy who probably wasn't going to contribute much over the next year or two. Good for Jason, and hopefully good for us.
OK, anyways back to FCD now.... Good synopsis Good deal Although, I wouldn't have minded seeing him @ RB or a mid at a reduced salary. Good luck in SLC JK.
