People are ripping him on the rivalry boards. I think he's had a good season. Thoughts?

I don't expect him to get called up to the national team.

He's average. He's made pretty good saves and given up ugly goals.

I wouldn't say he's had a good season. If Garlick wasn't injured and starting, there's a good chance we'd have been at least a 3rd seed. Having said that, the past 2 games he's seemed to step up his play.

I don't care for him personally.

He doesn't own the box, he's flat footed, slow to react, and doesn't always commit to his decisions to charge out or stay on his line.

But...he's the only legitimate choice right now. Our back-up Napolean is very good and somewhat proven as well but has had ZERO playing time with the team.

I would say that other than our "struggling" offense, he is the weakest part of our team.

I'll just say that if suddenly Garlick was 100% to play the next 3 games (and last 3 :) ) I would still choose Kramer. Just as in the WC, you can't switch up keepers when things are going your way. In short, he is doing alright but any other time I would choose the other guy. Just too many weird mistakes.

I guess it's one of those weird cases where the guy always plays well when you watch him. I've seen around 10 Rapids games and he never made a major mistake.

In this situation I would definitely choose Garlick. I think it's a lot like the Keller-Friedel situation before WC '02. Friedel had a great cup and seems to have come into his own, but previous to this (and I don't think I'm the only one that felt this way) whenever Friedel started for the USMNT you never knew what was going to happen. He was really inconsistent, whereas Keller put together an above average performance every game. Same thing with Garlick-Kramer.

Or some major clunkers he gaffed on v. the Revs a month or so ago.

Somebody said it earlier. He's an average keeper at best. Probably a career backup who (hopefully) is enjoying the run and playing time he's getting this year, and is making the most out of it. He had a nice series v. the Burn so he's stepped up when counted. Facing Ruiz and Cobi may be another matter. He better be on his toes.

Kramer has no confidence, the team has no confidence in him, and he has no command of his back line.

Please Spenny, Chung, Henderson, Pibe, Kingsley...SCORE more goals because David is a sieve.
