    Kosowski seeks move to Osasuna

WARSAW, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Poland midfielder Kamil Kosowski's wishes for an immediate transfer to Spanish first division side Osasuna look like being blocked by his UEFA Cup-chasing club Wisla Krakow.

Osasuna have reportedly offered £1.7million for the 25-year-old attacking midfielder who helped Wisla reach the fourth round of the UEFA Cup, where they will meet Lazio next month.

'My stand remains unchanged, I want to leave for Spain. There is nothing to wait for,' Kosowski was quoted as saying on Thursday.

But Polish first division leaders Wisla appear to be holding out for a better offer - which local media report at £2.1million - or waiting until their impressive UEFA Cup drive ends.

'Wisla do not intend to sell Kosowski. We want him to play against Lazio in the UEFA Cup. That is why the offer for Kosowski has to be really attractive,' Wisla president Bogdan Basalaj told the daily Gazeta Wyborcza.

Wisla have progressed further in European club competition than any Polish team in six years. They eliminated Parma of Italy and Germany's Schalke 04 in the previous rounds of the UEFA Cup.

Osasuna are no strangers to Polish football talent, fielding five Poles in their history. Former Poland international Jan Urban now coaches their junior squad.

Seems like he has made up his mind on leaving. So.. if he actually does last long enough at Wisla to play against Lazio, will this have a detrimental effect or will he excel in the shop window?

if he goes he has to go now, he can't stay to play Lazio and then leave (some sort of trade window stuff)

Osasuna does have a history of going for Polish players, but they also have a history of being in the Spanish second division, and i think that's where they're headed at the end of this season

Wisla will have a hard time against Lazio (unless Lazio explodes due to money problems) and it would be sad to see Kosowski leave and weaken the team

Yeah.. I wasn't so sure about when the transfer window closes. Though there is the possibility that he could transfer at the end of the season if Wisla don't let him go soon.

rumor has it that Kosowski will re-sign with Wisla

Wisla did not want to let him go beacuse Osasuna wanted to loan him for half a year (they are in the relegation zone in Spain and might not stay up) and only then maybe buy him (maybe depending on them staying up or going down to the second division)

Wisla was only intrested in a straight up sale
