Who would you choose as being the best forward in Korea today? And also the best future forward?? Best Forward- Seol Best Forward in 2006- Jung JG
I would say the best striker is Ahn Jung-Hwan among with Seol, although I do not want to put them at a same level. They have different styles. Ahn is is a offensive midfielder. In 2006, when the World Cup comes into my home country, Park Ji-Sung or Lee Chun-Soo will be the hottest stars, among with Seol and Ahn.
park ji sung in my mind would be the best if he is given that position lee chun soo should be ball boy and talk trash behind the net at the goalie
When Choi Yong-Soo is getting it going, he's probably the best striker that Korea has got... but he's too inconsistent and he hasn't proved anything outside of Asia yet. But Seol Ki-Hyeon is developing fast... and I hope Lee Dong-Gook takes that next step, someday...
Lee dong gook is finished after A-games i think he didnt get his free ticket out of the military and that wont be good for a player that wants to play over seas
It's pretty sad to see D.G. Lee's career go south, after his 2000 Asian Cup and decent run in the Olympics. He should have been more able (or willing) to change his game, but I think the "Lion King/Killer" stardom messed with his mind. Now, he can't even finish off goals which was probably his best asset. I'm not too high on placing Jung Jo-guk on a pedestal yet. There is a big difference between U-21 matches and actual national teams. Even if it was Brazil's U-21 team. Yeah, he's got some pretty highlight clips but see what he does on the actual national team first. Remember Kim Eun-jung was the next big thing following 1998. I think Seol Ki-hyeon will be the best striker in 2006, or is the most safe bet to be the best striker, since he will probably have gone to one of the "big leagues," would be in his prime, and his game is so well-suited for Korea and the international game.
I think Park Ji-Sung could be the best striker in 2006 (his goal against Portugal was amazing), but as of now it's definitely Seol and Ahn.
Yeah, Cha Doo-Ri has lots of potential, but I know his club, Arminia Bielefeld. And maybe he will play a lot there, but then Bayer Leverkusen will take the option of him. When this occurres I am not sure what will happen to him. Maybe he will be good- then he will definetely reach more succes than his father. But I would like to remind you of Seol's problems in Anderlecht. Germans are very unpatient and Bremen once had a korean payer, but did not pay much attention to him, so he was sacked after a few months I think. I saw a report of this. Bundesliga sucks^^. And I must know it...
Korean coaches konw how to ruin players. Lee Dong Guk simply sucked at Bremen, I blame all this on former Korea NT coach Huh JungMoo. Lee got injured (ankle & knee) previous asian cup and Huh forced Lee to play every single matches full even meaningless useless matches. This went on for more than 10 months, Lee kept getting injured and got better a little and got injured again. Then Lee Dong Guk got in huge slump, dated to this day.
Oh, that was new for me. O.K. we here in Germany didn't hear much of him during his time in Bremen. Would have been better for him if had moved to a smaller club, as far as I am concerned.
Every korean coaches care about their career than young player's career. There are lot of examples of young korean players got hurt by overtraining and overwork and end their career early. Lee ChunSoo have shoulder dislocation tendency, he haa to get surgery but its been postponed for more than 1 1/2 yrs cuz his coaches wanted him to play. Park JiSung.. he played 4 games in full (1 extra time) in 8 days.. he's been struggling after that.
now we have Sung-gook Choi(19) over-grazed by the U19 team coach Sung-hwa Park. He played in 18 games in a span of 2 months. No wonder he fainted at the game againt India and had to put on an oxygen mask. That is pretty serious and I really wish he gets better.
Gosh, that are no methods. No surprise they all want to move to europe. I wonder if the former korean coach Park was going to use, or even has used such methods, too. Sorry, but that shocked my a little...phew edit: But accordingly to the youngest success of the U-19 of Korea(they moved to the semi-finals by a 7-0 over India) those methods seems to make sense as far as this is possible. What say the korean people to those methods?
