They are vulnerable on the counter, but can score. It's a must win for them. We have a point already, and technically, aren't out with a draw. Beating Portugal would be a tall order, though. CGS up top, please. Rest of the team can stay the same, but hoping for HHC to return.
Speed, physicality, and individual skills. It's a scary combination to deal with. But upon seeing our defense vs uruguay, I'm confident we can limit their opportunities.
Ehhh. Defensively decent, but Uruguay weren't troubled by him when he attacked. TBH, their defense is excellent, and will hold Portugal to a draw at least.
NSH was a good pick for vs Uruguay not bc he was good at attacking. He was picked to help our midfielders + defenders. And he did a great job surprisingly.
thats exactly what killed us the time we played in last WCs Speed and athleticism. I feel like we tried to match them when we shouldve been laying back more
CGS and SHM goals incoming. HUI's form and age are showing. It's a time for a generation change and I think CGS will fill it well. But HUJ's been good to us over the years. He clearly wants that back but I won't judge him too harshly for that. It is what it is. Even world class players miss those from time to time...
Bento may still use Lee KangIn if need arises even after HHC's return. https://v.daum.net/v/20221126104212118 Patting the head of a 21 years old man... kind of creepy but OK for the NT ;they made up. Lee is old enough to go to a peepshow in NYC. He is a man.
Kim Minjae may not be available vs Ghana. It is the most serious blow to this WC team. https://v.daum.net/v/20221127002001373
Muscle rupture is rarely career-threatening if treated promptly but short term effect can be as bad as any other injury. My impression is that it does not heal that fast either but players tend to think it is not serious right after the injury. Kim would have been out at least for 2 weeks if this had been a club football situation. I am not in the medical profession so these are just guesses. Kim Shin Wook had a broken calf bone and he did not get surgery for 2 weeks until after the AG. He got military exemption(probably both from the injury and the gold medal) but his recovery took just as much as the military service. Many players should thank him for his sacrifice. But Jang Hyeonsoo who benefited from it did an absolutely unethical thing. P.S. I hope it is just a bruise, not a muscle rupture but the latter is what is reported by the Korean media and it sounds right. There was no direct contact with an another player. Muscle tear is pretty bad and my non-professional impression(from years of being a historian of various sports) is that it can be recurrent.
The referee is Anthony Taylor who sent off Son 3 years ago in an EPL game. Not good news. The one who rough-handled Son in that match(and Son retaliated to end up with a red) was antonio rudiger who mocked Japanese in this WC and possibly cost the match by galvanizing them. Rudiger always had a racist streak. I am expecting the usual SJW band to jump on me. What a bunch of phonies.
True. I wish he recovers right away (by tomorrow) and we beat Ghana by at least 3 goals... Just my wish.
