Without KMJ, I doubt we will play any better.

our offense sucks. chille made many mistakes but we can't finish them off.

as i said, son needs to score every match then we'll go far.

    HHC - MOM for me.

SHM - garbage finishing. Should've done better. If he doesnt finish chances like today's, I don't think we have a chance in the WC.

little JWY - other than one critical mistake that almost led to conceding, he was pretty impressive. He was all over the field.

NSH - garbage passes in the final 3rd. Let's not start him.

HHC and SHM are on another level...

We did better for sure, but TBH, Chile didn't really play that well..

I like KNT counterattacks. Simple, and followed up by 3-4 players. Defense needs work, however. It will be the cornerstone of the necessary strategy- frustrate opposition into fruitless posession until they put themselves to sleep.

i dont ynserstand why after 20 years, Korean is pretty much in the same position its been in actually in worse condition

nothing has evolved after 6 or 7 managers and a flush of talent going through the ranks

still the same unimaginative defenseless team that relies too heavily upon counter attacks to generate goals. its amazing really the lack of overall progression

Possession football is demanding. The GK has to be good on the ball, the defenders also, and then you need all of your midfielders to be wizards. Korea is a team for whom counterattacking is well suited. Maaaaaaybe a high press system without the focus on technique that German teams have?

Not saying Korea doesn't have some technically gifted players, but there's not an overabundance of them to justify possession-based football.

My homeland Croatia, a country that has awesome playmakers, has no goalkeepers that are great at passing out from the back. Whenever we try to play out of the back under organized pressure, it's a pass-back to the GK and then: panic stations!

Lastly, watching Spain is boring to me. 빨리 빨리 works in football better than anywhere else.

We have a decent talent pool in the wings, forwards, and to an extent midfield; players who have the technical competency to play possession-based football.

The problem is our final third. The disconnect between our defense to the rest of the pitch is apparent. Our defensive line is incapable of retaining possession, positional awareness, or providing accurate long passes/crosses.

I don't put this blame on the players, though. It simply shows our Association lacks the knowledge, resources, and competency to bring our football up to modern standards. KFA wants quick results, and that led us going through 14~ national coaches since 02'. We've been chasing our own tail ever since. What we have now, is a subpar emulation of possession-based football that may work on AFC minnows, but it's just enough for the world stage. Frustrating.

Son is quite adaptable as a player, but still, the tactic must plan the most realistic method of getting him service. Possession football doesn't take advantage of his speed, nor the speed of many other Korean players.
