    What's the line-up?

Also, are they going to wear the new jerseys?

I hope the jerseys look better on the field.

Yeom Ki Hoon would've had the fastest goal within 40 seconds but bounced off the keeper.

Overall, not bad for the first time cappers; but Heo has a lot of work cut out for him. You can tell, Heo's motive was 1. Analyze. Prep for WC Qualifier against Turks. 2. (try to) win. So, no grudge here. Sure, a win would have been nice, but, meh; the new selection's have impressed me so far. :) Looking forward to a stronger team next time. ;)

So how did Korea concede? Counter as usual or defensive blunder?

Well, the Chile play/link-up to the goal was pretty darn good; so imho, it wouldn't be counter or def blunder.... but that's just me

A light cross, precisely to the striker who escaping off-side trap line then, quite close to the GK Jung; scored. (hope that makes sense)

    Defensive blunder....
both teams didn't play too well or maybe just defended well(probably not)
I don't get why Nam-il played such an offensive role...and I didn't like how most of Korea's attempts were long range bombers...and mostly from defenders...
Chile did their typical time wasting and bitching at the final minutes of the game...at least one or two got carded for it.

I still don't get why Park Won-Jae was so important in their attack today

thanks guys... but anyway, yeah Huh's style is 뻥축구 so no surprise there when you say long balls LOL

On the other hand the media is reporting that Korea conceded thru a counter  I don't know exactly since I didn't see the match but it's so predictable that korea always concede when they start attacking like crazy. And the match today shows how sad it was when you see Yeom Ki Hoon as a striker LOLOLOL How did Korea become so low? (no offense to Yeom lovers)

He had to be close, cause Fierro can't score to save his life...Rubio even worse...hope they never get called to the NT again. I thought Chile's midfield was decent, as well as the passing, like you would expect in a S.American team. However their positions are already taken by more competent players.

I agree that they bitched and moaned too much, but this is common practice in S.America...however these guys are young and they can learn.

It wasn't a counter, it started from a free kick though

    MATCH PLAYER RATINGS

First off, woke up late, so I only caught the closing moments of 1st half, but saw the entire second half.

    Kim Byung-Ji (5)
Closing moments, did ok. Old Age...

    Cho Sung-Hwan (6)
    decent.

    Cho Yong-Hyung (6.5)
Pretty good. The commentator called him the next "Hong Myung-Bo" Guess we'll have to find out! Made two shots, but skewered each time...

    Kwak Tae-Hwi (5.5)
Ok, not eye catching, but ok

    Kim Chi-Woo (6)
Didn't play as well as Asian Cup 2007, but still remains one of my fav players. I'd still say Oh Beom-Seok is a better wingback (different pos I know) Missed Oh BS. Manager Heo, please pick Oh Beom-Seok for next match... If not, then East Asian Championship.

    Kim Nam-Il (4)
You'd expect a solid performance from a player of his exp, but he didn't deliver much to set him apart from lets say Lee Ho (Who's younger and can still improve imo). Play was erratic at times.... Weak passes...
I'd rather see Son Dae-Ho play next match...

    Lee Kwan-Woo (6.5)
One caught the last minutes of his performance before hsi SUB off for 2nd half :( but he played quite well; I wish he would have scored that 1st half last minute Freekick... I'd luv to see him start next game!

    Hwang Ji-Soo (6)
Ok player. Not bad. Expands the MF options.

    Cho Won-Hee (5.5)
Had mood/play swings... One minute, he's stolen the ball and carries it to the opposing field, then chokes... Ok at times... We need Oh Beom-Seok!

    Cho Jin-Soo (5)
First game, tried pretty hard, but weak near def and slow, inaccurate. Not much sets him apart from JJJ, but has potential...

    Yeom Ki-Hoon (7)
MOTM for Korea. Yeom, who lost my support during the Asian Cup 2007, got it back! Eye catcher! Just needs to score... But, hey, he's not orig a striker. Anyhow, he's versatile. Winger one minute, striker next, assists ok. His presence made the left flank stronger.

    Jung Jo-Gook (-)
    I didn't see him play...

    Jung Sung-Ryong (6)
(Not at 100% match fitness) So, he let in that goal Second Half... It wasn't entirely his fault. Even fatman would have had a hard time blocking at that close of a distance IMO But, Kim Yong-Dae and maybe, Kim Young-Kwang should be called up for next match.

    Hwang Jae-Won (5.5)
    Ok defender. Strong headers.

    Park Won-Jae (5)
The commentators called him "Park JS???" Wha... No way is his caliber on par. Still, props to him for trying hard. I guess there's "some" similarities. Messed up link ups and chaining is slightly off. I'd rather have Goblin King return (Kim Dong-Jin :D)

    Park Chu-Young (-)
(Not at 100% match fitness) Returned to A-Level, but little time to make impact; still, currently my #1 hope for KNT scoring line... Ok, obviously tired. This match was just two days after he completed his training in Spain.

    Lee Jong-Min (5)
Heard good things about him. Was ok.

(Hope I didn't miss anyone, there were several substitutions...)

    Well, you have backup...:D
Hey, number 16 Iturro (???) was pretty good. Is he a regular starter???
Number 10 & 11 played pretty effectively; dunno their names.
Good luck on WC qualifiers, Chile. Good Match

I didn't see any "kick and run soccer".... :D
Their were some pretty good short pass link-ups
And the long balls at times were surprisingly accurate!
The team and Coach Heo must have trained hard, but still need to train harder...
    Looking forward to next match.
Yeom played quite well today. He's versatile... IMO Best player for Korea this match!

    Yeom Ki-Hun = Park Won-Jae = Kim Chi-Woo

Most of the strong attacking came from left flank.

KNT started off w/ 3-5-2, but prob was it kept switching to 5-3-2.

    Second half was 4-4-2

Which one did you think was more effective???

For now, 4-4-2 was better IMHO, but maybe in the future 3-5-2 can be tried out...

    Still Won-Jae played like shit

I guess I shouldn't really complain, since it was just a friendly to test out new players.
