No scoring ability in the open field. Terrible finishing touches like a fcking girl. Every game in this tournament we missed on those nice runs into the box. Are we ever going to score a normal goal? Does it have to be set pieces and defender errors? Defense sucks and kim jung woo should never play again. But we already knew that, its the offense that really let us down. All this talk about massive improvement but still we can't score normally. Yes, we're good at making runs and pressuring but no climax. Always a premature ejaculation. Remember, we barely made it out of group stage. It was one goal away(yakubu) from the same exact result in 06. So until we get some real strikers/finishers in front of goal, it's always gonna be like this.

To be honest, I'm more concerned about our defense. Our finishing was actually not bad this WC, we took our chances well for the most part.

It's the same thread and same sht every now and then.

"Our defense sucks" "Our finishing sucks"

The only difference is players come and go.

Welcome to the Korean National Football Team. We're not Spain, England, Italy, Brazil.

I noticed this ever since the first time I watched our team play, which was in 1994.

I wonder if we'll ever win a World Cup in our lifetimes.

I was extremely disturbed yesterday thinking about this. I don't want to die without witnessing

    Reunification
    Winning a World Cup.

    The former is most likely.

i'm just so disappointed with our offense. Just once I was hoping to see a normal goal through penetration in the box. Actually, I did see that. 8 times to be exact. Unfortunately they were the other teams goals against us.. Ugh, i'm just so pissed right now just like all of you guys.

I thought the D was a complete liability the entire tournament more than the O, that 1st goal by Suarez should have never happened. 5 Korean guys in the box, Forlan's cross was terrible, Lee Young Pyo completely rooted to the ground watching it go by, Jung Sung Ryong made an amateur like play to corall it...just brutal. Arguably the worst defensive play so far in this entire World Cup, how utterly embarassing.

I agree though, we need some finish to make those chances into goals for other teams to truly be wary of us. The Yeom Gi Hun chance against Argentina comes to mind, Lee Dong Guk today in the 87th minute, Lee Chong Young's chance against Nigeria where he just tried to guide it to the far post and Nigerian goalie got a hand on it...if he had a real striker's finish he would have whacked it into the top corner.

Hey there's no need to be so damn public about your problems. Just focus on something else, and you'll hold on until she gets there.

Goddamit, I just landed, GOGO inflight was down on the plane, and it sounds like I didn't even need to watch in the first place. Saved some money

when I posted during the pre-world cup some of you phckers were getting on my case about using words like mentality, courage, etc. etc. and then I saw those words being thrown around these forums like edible condoms or something.

If you wanna know what it takes to beat a country of 2 million people in futbol to reach the quaterfinal of the world cup, all you dudes with little kids, especially if you live in Korea, start teaching them they are the baddest, meanest, sons a bitches in the planet, and don't let them watch those goddam korean dramas where the boys behave like **************.

That's how you win a goddam World Cup!

oh and to make things worse, japan's last goal against denmark was a great finish. I would like to think we would've done the same thing in that situation. But i'm not so sure now.. Maybe a wasted shot over the goal or shot right to the goalie? Dammit what a terrible day.

Let us contrast this sad state of affairs with the US team right, now.

There is no other team than our good ol US of A in this tournament with a belly full of fire. This is the shit I'm talking about, and you guys watch.

THE USMNT will run over Ghana, beat Uruguay, and make it to the semifinals. This is how you do it. If you lose, hell, no less of men becuase you left everything out there! This is how you're supposed to play goddamit!

Don't get me wrong, our defense sucks. It's just we knew that already. The whole world knew that. Even if we drew with them, we still need to score. These ladies couldn't handle that. So many times we had the opportunity to score on the run. We should not have just one goal from a set piece in this game.

The OP is right that failing to score a goal from any sort of technical buildup throughout the whole tournament is a big concern. Whenever we get something good set up, we somehow manage to shite ourselves in front of goal. I really don't know why finishing has been such an Achilles heel for us for so long. It is ironic though that the main reason we reached the knockout round was because Yakubu and Martins managed to outdo Yeom Ki-Hun and Lee Dong-Gook for misses of the tournament.

LOL, I don't have that problem yet.. Hopefully never. That analogy totally fits our team. You know, some dudes when they bust a nut can shoot it a mile(me). Some dudes it just dribbles out(KNT).

Nah, don't think so. Courage and mental strength have never been the problem for KNT - don't demean our players just because you are pissed off. It was the defense that let Korea down throughout this tournament, and then finishing in the match against Urguay. That's all.

Exactly including the US. Look at their front line, Altidore and Findley. Dear lord.

The ironic thing is Huh fixed our defense but we still lose :(. Our team needs a Suarez. I had high hopes and was really aiming for Semi Finals. Ghana and US both played bad today. Match was super boring. We could have beaten them if we passed.
