http://www.augsburger-allgemeine.de...oeffnet-Tuer-zum-Koo-Transfer-id28453862.html The Augsburg papers are picking up on Wolfsburg's willingness to engage in negotiations as well.
Since this move has been telegraphed for weeks with KDB and Mainz speaking up, it seems many of these articles are guessing rather than based on insider info.
no idea but it certainly isn't cheap for Mainz. they certainly have an eye for talent in view of selling the player later on for big fee (Jonathan Geis being the gem for this season... let see how long he stays with Mainz).
well, this is def. moving fast.. Koo to Mainz for 3m euro http://www.waz-online.de/Wolfsburg/WAZ-Sport/VfL-Wolfsburg/Fuer-3-Millionen-Euro-Koo-darf-nach-Mainz
but of course.. Bild throws in a new surprise. haha, love Tuschel's quote http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/ja-cheol-koo/heiss-begehert-34270850.bild.html
found some interesting quotes from WAZ paid content from earlier link if true, Koo should be Mainz player soon.
Although I love what Tuschel said, I would much rather prefer Koo to go to Mainz From what I know, Eintracht isn't playing that good unlike last year and Mainz needs a good CM or a CAM And like we know, Mainz has PJH and Okazaki so he'll adjust to his environment pretty quickly
I still don't get why Koo would downgrade....aren't there any bigger clubs in the Bundesliga who want Koo? He is one of the most highly coveted players in the league, no??
No. It's simple. Wolfsburg don't need him after getting De Bruyne, and already see Arnold as a better player than Koo and a star for the future. Koo has been injured for most of the first half of the season, also he performed well for a bottom Bundesliga team. There are plenty of players with similar records; Volland, Roberto Firmino, Kruse, Lassogga, and so on.
He's been too injury prone for the past two seasons to do that. He needs to take care of his ankles first before you see that happen.
Fair enough, he has been injured a lot. Btw, really liking your detailed posts in SMB....keep it up champ!
Oh geez That's embarrassing I was assuming Tuschel was Eintracht's manager My bad... So JDW and KJC (most likely) found their way out.. Now PCY gtfo out of Arsenal
Mainz also provides the best fit for Koo. The forwards and wings have played quite efficient this season. What they really need is a good CAM to anchor the offense in the middle. The team is in a good position to finish the season strong. This would be a pretty solid lineup: ----------------Okazaki----------- ChoupoMoting-----Koo------Nico Müller ----------Geis-Baumgartlinger----- Park----Bell----Noveski-----Pospech
too bad Baum is out injured (for most of 2nd half too.. if not all based on latest reports) & Choupo has 6 month left on his contract (mixed performance from him too & often as sub. majority of his goals are from PK). I'm looking forward to this Nedelev kid... joined Mainz with good reputation/praise.
True, I can see Nedelev emerging onto the starting XI if he continues to impress the staff. Good versatility to handle both wing positions, though likely play on left considering Müller is a lock on the right. Potentially huge steal for 3 mio they paid. I've always admired Mainz for their ability to nourish young talent. ie. Schürrle, Holtby, Jürgen Klopp in his playing days . Koo will be in good hands.
