Sick, twisted. I saw this at the gym and was also like what the f? Say what you want about baseball, but those two assholes should have been kicked a few more times than they were. Supposedly a small pocket knife was found as well, pretty scary.

Rick Ballou of Sporting News Radio is reporting that the AP has a new photo that appears to show a half-open knife hanging from the father's belt. I'll try to find it.

    Thanks Pepper.

This is totally bizarre, and some jail time had better be served.

What should've happened is to take these guys, pin their wastes, and then spike them about the face and groin.

The assailants were a 34-year-old man and his 15-year-old son. Nothing like family bonding....

Technically, I believe someone has to die for manslaughter charges to be brought.

Um, I certainly hope they spend a lot of time in jail for this.

    How random.

Don't think anybody knows at this point. These guys were pretty fd up, and need a lengthy stay in jail/Juvenile home.

I just saw it again on SC, and they showed a clip of the happy family being led out to the police cars. One of the reporters then yells out "Why did you do it?" Their answer.... "He flicked us off. He got what he deserved."

Sweeney kicks ass. There is no better, more upstanding, and more likeable player than him. That quote came from him when he was on Rome today, also in the interview he said that he's not too concerned over making sure he wins the batting title, just as long as he puts forth a good effort, cause "I'm just a hard-working, low-talent player." Yeah, sure Mike, I don't know too many low talent players who are hitting .342.

I just hope we'll be able to lock him up for his career, cause this is the first guy since George Brett that I've seriously thought, "This guy actually has a chance to rival the amount of love and respect this city gives Brett if he stays here is whole career."

These guy are a disgrace to the White Sox and all of the city of Chicago.I wish they would've let the Royals take them into them their clubhouse and have their way with them. What were they thinking?

Anyone know of (or got) an mpeg (or similar but not real player) of the incident?

It's just I haven't seen this much fan interaction since Cantona gave the game up and my bloodthirsty side was arounsed by it.
