So finally it's a done deal. What do you think then, will he be all right there? Good news for Holland if he can return to form after the rubbish season he's had.

Also what a great season it'll be for RTL5's English football show, there's more Dutch footy stars in England than in the Eredivisie this season. How many Dutch players are there in the EPL now does anyone know? Middlesbrough (the new Dutch colony) alone already has four.

Yeah, so which Dutch has Middlesbrough now? Boateng, Zenden, Hasselbaink and?

I bet PK starts over Bellamy or they both play on the pitch at the same time. NUFC didn't shell out some serious quid to let Patrick warm the bench. Just a hunch.

ummm dont forget mister shearer :D

bellamy can play a left wing also, but he is so brittle and his former opposite solano is gone so they dont really do that anymore

Bellamy is injury prone, he'll never have a full season. It'll be Kluivert and Shearer.

Newcastle has been after Kluivert since 1996, they finally got him.

Kluivert plays better off the main strikers in the hole imvho. He's too hit/miss to be a full time front man. Zenden just went to shiite since moving to the Prem. Too bad really.

On Patrice? Sure! I don't think you'll get too much mileage out of the sig line though, aside from proving me wrong. Its not as funny, as say, someone on the Arsenal board recently predicting that Jose Reyes will have at least 17 league goals this season.
I think Kluivert will be his usual disappointing self at Newcastle.

I would say that a) Zenden was never really that good, b) The most impressive thing about him is his first name and c) He actually played pretty well for Middlesborough in a more defensive role on the left. I think Oranje would be well served if they tried him at LB for a game or two. Gio has never convinced me there.

Gio is gahbage, the dude's the personification of shaky. I think Zenden at LB would be a sound move. Offensively the guy's just fallen on excruciatingly hard times.

Yeh Nicephoras, that very brave of you hiding that comment in an obscure thread like this. :) I'll bet the shirt on your back Reyes scores 15+ goals this season for Arsenal.

ya the sig line may not be that good, maybe we will do an avatar one? i know it wont be something bad for you like having a roma avatar would probably be, so we can see it more as a simple, fun bet.

i dont know much about stats, so i'll have to look up other people's stats to figure out what would be a good bet. i'll get back to you.

That's a stupid bet. However, I'll take the Reyes AT LEAST 17 LEAGUE goals in a heartbeat. You realize that's practically a 1:2 goals to games ratio? Provided he stays healthy the whole season. Since he's not guaranteed to start.......yes, I'll gladly take that bet.

Well, now you're qualifying. Arsenal play in 4 competitions. I mentioned league goals only.

Btw, I'm wearing a nice shirt at the moment, since I just got back from work. Give me a few hours., and then we'll see what we can do :D

Even if Kluivert scores many goals in the premiership he still isn't going to play in the Holland team. It is going to be hard to bump Ruud van NistelDIVE out of the Holland team. Since Roy Mackaay is doing an awesome job at Bayern, and even to some extent Pierre van Hoijdank.

Kluivert still has a better goals per game ratio for the national team than RVN, I believe.

Nevertheless, PK needs a good year to be a starter for the elftal. I think Makaay has the lock on the second spot, and I guess that he will be the starter for the first two qualification games for the next World Cup given RVN's suspension. Is the elftal staying at 4-3-3 or are they going to try the 4-4-2 again?

I personally would predict Kluivert having about 5-7 goals by January. He doesnt draw the presence that RVN does in front of the net. It would be funny though, if the top two scorers in the EPL next year are RVN and PK... somehow I think Henry will have something to say about that.

That's hardly fair is it. He had one bad season with Barcelona. Just a couple of years ago the Catalans were praising him to the high heavens.

In my opinion he's still by far the most talented and technically gifted player Holland have. He won't be in the starting XI though if San Marco decides to play a 4-3-3.
