he has been phenomenal since he arriver? hahahahaha. dude he got arsenal knocked out of the chapions league when they were the best team in europe. that season they won the epl without loosing. wasn't he the one who spilled a shot from faaaaaaaaaar out from makelele of all people.
it is not just one time. why do you think he got benched last year for about 11 games or so? may be because he was just too phenomenal for them to handle. hahahahahaa.
why do you think milan got rid of him? he sucked. did you see the games between dortmund and madrid in 2003? lehmann was great that is why they lost the got knocked out of the second group stage. the also would have won the uefa cup the year before if lehmann was not so great.
i only saw the juve and real game, well they played some really good teams in the group stage and lehmann had great games probably. i don't give a shit if he is german or not. in fact this a world cup i am not looking forward to. and who can blame me? when germany's goal is protected by huth and lehmann. it is going to be embarassing.
whatever you think of lehmann is your opinion, i myself hate him because he is a low life good for nothing scumbag. we just should not be talking about lehmann on this board because he does not belong here. go talk about him on the arsenal board or the germany board.

Ok..maybe not his entire career at Arsenal BUT you are singeling out the negatives only. There is a reason they went undefeated that entire season, sure it wasn't only Jens but he did contribute. Benching Lehmann and going with Almunia was one of Wenger's greatest mistakes as he had to find out first hand. You make it seem as though every bad performance his team had was due to him, and you can't simplify things like that in football all the time.

Plus, this year alone proves what he's worth. And if Wenger had to wait a while to get him in this form, so be it, because its paying off big time.

And I know these are the Bayern boards but its also a thread about Lehmann

Arsenal's defense sucked that season too. As has happened in many cases in the Premiership, the keeper takes the punishment for the failings of his defense.

Also, trying to say they were the best team in Europe as the writer you responded to did is just ludicrous.

The bottom line for me is this:

Arsenal is in the Champions' League Final. And every true Arsenal fan I know says Jens Lehmann is to thank for it.

That's enough for me.

I'll continue to read this board and laugh at the haters who decry the fact that their man's time has come and is long gone.

i dont know if it was this or last season, but Lehmann was sitting on the bench! because he was to bad and was making mistakes.

Lehmann is at the moment better as Kahn, but before he was never better than Kahn, 1-2 Seasons he was the same good, but never better, this is the first season!
its crazy what some people on other boards write.. espyecially the ones from Dortmund and Schalke, because Lehmann played for both clubs, sorry but some is simply just stupid !!

and of course, also in this season Lehmann was producing some mistkes, look at the game against Liverpool(?)

jens lehmann gave 100% you cant give that every day. i have a feeling he is struggling and has worked hard to be number 1. but after he getting number 1 can he sustain save after save after every 72 hours. i guess he will break down because we expect lehmann to face 20 shots per match in the world cup

No matter what, he still is the better choice. I feel more optimistic with Lehmann in the goal. It's fantastic that Lehman is being exposed to the top players of the world in the Champion's League right before the World Cup. His current run not only gives Lehmann self-confidence, it also serves to intimidate the players/trainers of other teams we will meet in the WC. People KNOW that Lehmann isn't the German team's weak spot.

i know, not because u replace a guy in the squad on the pitch you have to ask for his number. Thats shows no respect, and on top of that. Its just not any ordinary player, u are talkin about the heart and soul of the team for so long.

This is just sickening. whether it be a Bayern player or not, its just wrong to be treated that way.

Mun as much i have no other team to throw my support behind expect German (well i hoping Trinidad doesnt fall flat on their face, my slight chance of that not happening) its really is sick and Klinsmann being the C*nt that he is will surely agree with Lehmann.

Lehman is in briliant form, so there is no doubt who has to be first goalie for Germany.

BTW inspite big mistake he made against Juve I like Tim Wiese. I would take him as 3th goalie.

well, i have seen kahn quite a few times this season and unfortunatley he is blundering more and more sometimes not so bad and sometimes very bad(i think v nurnburg it was, very bad) i think he is far to big a risk to have as number one goalie for germany, although i still love the boyo .

this subject has become too old. yes like you said kahn is not like what he used to be, if he was we would not be having this discussion and lehmann himself would not even dream of replacing him. the bottom line is kahn with one arm is better than lehman in his top form. DF please close this thread. there is one like it in the geramany board. everyone can say what he feels on the board. that board is for the national team fans. this is the bayern board so please no criticizing oli. and if you can just not mention lehmann it would be nice.

dude, just relax. you can't have a good argument if you completely want one side of the argument gone. there is plenty of times we praise our players, its not like they are personally tearing King Kahn's heart apart. and anyways id like them to say it to his face no harm done in some criticism. heck you also say fock all the time so i see no harm done here.
