...as director of the board named himself head coach...quit as head coach complaining about support from the board...of which he is the director of the board...as director of the board he will name himself as replacement head coach...
The favorite German twitter reactions: "Klinsmann joins the club, spends 75 mil EUR in winter and quits after 5 games - and he quits via facebook, without telling anyone in the club." "The thing with Klinsi feels like as if your girlfriend had just decorated the new common flat according to her expensive taste to then leave you for your father 1 week after you moved in" "A shame when prejudices get confirmed: - creates new spirit of optimism - throws team hierarchy and staff into disarray - sorts deserved players out - no tactical concept - quits via facebook and leaves behind a complete mess"
Klinsmann's best role is as some sort of grand visionary with a team underneath him to do all of those pesky details - like, you know, actually coach - that he finds beneath him. In other words, he's a glorified consultant.
Wow, I really have no idea why Jurgen quit. Did he do it preemptively to avoid getting fired? After this debacle, I can't see him ever getting the chance to coach in the Bundesliga again. Maybe some sixth-tier national team will give him a shot (like Thomas Rongen at American Samoa, or Sven-Goran Erikkson at the Philippines).
You mean like USSF CEO? While I did not like him as a coach, that might be a more suitable position. But, seems he was unhappy not getting free reign with transfers. Can’t blame Hertha on that one.
And a big F.U. to all those usmnt jk supporters who were the diahrea of b.s. when defending jk as usmnt coach. (I called for him to be fired immediately after the belgium game)
Just to be clear, I think it would be a huge risk to give him a position of great responsibility. But, his strength seems to be more of grand vision than anything else.
you know whats as ridiculous as anything klinsmann does? saying hes a "big idea" guy. his ideas are as stupid as his x's and o's. klinsmann is amazing at exactly 2 things: playing soccer and getting people to give him millions of dollars for zero return.
To be fair, if you are going to pick a couple of talents... I'm significantly more qualified to be US Soccer CEO than JK.
Well this was funny. A little bit gross picking up the rock and seeing all the weird bugs underneath defending Klinsmann as a USMNT manager after these many months and an embarrassing episode at Hertha, as if this didn’t prove you were just a weird bug under a rock.
Klinsmann is a megalomaniac who wants all control and his departure was handled in an inexcusable manner (via Facebook, really?) however, if Hertha does escape relegation, how much credit does he deserve?
To be completely transparent, my post was 100% pure sarcasm. Even if someone is a "big idea" guy, he needs to be able to have some clue to implement that vision. Klinsmann has shown he has no ability to do even that. If US Soccer needs someone in the "big idea" role, that person should really be in the Cordeiro role as board chairman. The CEO, while still requiring some big-picture thinking, needs to be someone who can get stuff done. When I think of Klinsmann, I think of those two consultants in "Office Space" that come in and just interview people while not doing anything of value.
Lmao explanations for Hertha fans on 6.00 pm via Facebook livestream 1227582838943428608 is not a valid tweet id
