    Article here.

Any thoughts of a possible impact on the Galaxy organization, or team?

It sounds like he may as well be on the plane to the homeland.

As for impact on LA, I'll leave that to someone in the know, but I'm damn glad he convinced Uncle Phil to part with that extra 8 million to put that awesome roof over Victoria Street.

We oughtta pin a medal on him for that.

I think Germany with Klinsmann at the reigns is dangerous...

klinnsman has said he won't return to europe, but that was club football. this all came up last year after glenn hoddle was sacked at spurs (and sigi was under fire here) and it was rumored that klinnsman would take over at spurs (and here... was weird having the same guy being rumored to manage both your club teams). i think the spurs rumors were more reliable, or the british tabloid press is just more voracious. anyway he came out and said, no he wouldn't be taking over at spurs or moving back to europe as his wife's family was over here and he had agreed to move to socal when he retired.

of course nat team doesn't mean a permanent move back, he could still live out here and go back to germany for qualifying matches, etc... apart from the world cup itself it wouldn't really interfere with the galaxy too much considering the alternate season.

also, do the germans really want to put a totally untested manager in charge of their national side in a tournament they're going to host... seems a big gamble and germans aren't really known for gambles.

    Re: Bundestrainer?

It's the title of the German national coach. Voeller didn't have the full coaching badge, so he wasn't technically the "coach"...he was the teamchef.
