    Fire Sigi because many fans think his tactics are boring German style then hire Klinsmann as coach? whatever.

    in all fairness PZ, kilnsman was the exception that proves (or to, i've never know which phrase was correct) the rule.

    he played exciting and attractive soccer, despite being german.

    he was an idol at spurs and spurs fans are notorious for demanding pretty football.

    ---

    funnily enough i though sigi and george graham were very similar in style and results. graham brought spurs their first trophy in a decade, had them winning pretty regularly and on their way to an FA cup final... spurs fans hated him and wanted him out because of his boring play. the similarities between the fans relation is uncanny...

    but

    graham = sigi
    hoddle = klinsman

    of course in both instances i think that the sacking came too quickly. graham should have been left in charge a lot longer, as should hoddle.

    what do i know though, i want sigi to stick around too. i guess i'm from the old school when managers were given time to build teams, and rebuild them if necessary and not sacked when one season didn't go the right way.

    oh well.

    Sorry, my sarcasm didn't translate very well.

    Another board asks what MLS can do to improve during the offseason.

    Adding Adu is a big plus. Klinsman as coach of the Galaxy would be most welcome as well. I think that the Galaxy may play up to their abilities.

    Also, German soccer is not boring. I too grew up believing that cliche. Over the past couple year thanks to FSW, I've had the change to actually watch the Bundesliga on a regular basis. I am a complete convert. Exciting stuff.

    seeing as Doug Hamilton was just named "EXEC. of the year" for 2003... perhaps he will allow Sigi to stick around for another year. Not sure Dallas still want him.

    Satire has become redundant.

    Isn't Dallas looking for a new GM as well? They can have Hamilton as well.
