This is Evertons 100 year in the top division of English football. Good result for Spurs. Can't say much for the first half, but second they attacked well. KK didn't seem to be in danger much, did have a few good saves, and was beaten on a 1v1. Seems to have had a fairly good game, or at least second half.
I havent seen the goals i didnt listen to the match but let me just say Neil Sullivan would have saved them both and scored a hat-trick to boot! Why wont hoddle start him?? maybe hes discriminating against him cos hes scottish
We know KK started today, but is there any indication he will be the starter for awhile? His selection for the last three preseason games would suggest that, but perhaps Sullivan is hurt.
Sullivan isn't hurt--he was the backup keeper today. At this point, he is the #1 until Hoddle chooses to go to the bullpen.
Re: Re: Re: KK/JMM: Tottenham v. Everton 8/17/02 (R) No, I meant until. It's going to happen, just a question of when. Keller's goal should be to have, say, 75% of the starts for the first team overall come next summer.
Is Sullivan still largely out of favor? I seem to remember a training ground bust-up last year which opened the trapdoor wide for Sully. He at the time was allegedly asking for a transfer .Was that patched up?
I was surprised to find him still with the team at the beginning of the season. There was talk he might be headed back to Scotland. However, I think having him on the bench will keep Keller on his toes and in the starting spot. But you never know with Hoddle. He made some weird decisions last season regarding these two players.
I don't think Sully has great market value at this time. The transfer market is down, and the bigger teams in Scotland are the only ones who could affort his transfer fee, but he is not good enough to be worth spending for. Like Buff said, on the bench until Hoddle chooses...
http://www.football365.com/All_News/Premiership_News/story_37839.shtml Well, one Scot in Manchester wants him, perhaps. Any other sources on this?
It looks like Spurs and Sullivan might make some money and Hoddle could end a controversy. Weren't there some rumors about KK and Man United before he went to Spain? Has there been any interest in KK by EPL teams over the past year?
"What I want at this club is competition for places and I want to be able to rotate a little, certainly up front where it's the hardest part of the game to play and play over a long season. ------------------------------------------------ Do you think he will rotate them on game to game bases?
