You're forgetting the part where (allegedly) Ape benched Brandi for reasons not related to Brandi's play. A little payback for trying to get her fired, maybe? This is what I'm talking about. If Ape benched Brandi in an act of revenge and it took the other players to point out that this was not in the team's best interest, then that's good evidence to support that Ape is mismanaging the team. We don't even have to mention Millie, or Siri, or Aly, or the other players that Ape is alienating. If Brandi thinks it will be in the best interest of the team, I expect her do it. Having a coach who would let her personal feelings of a player affect the way she coaches and affect the team negatively needs to go. The middle of the Olympics is a bad time to let the world know that this is going on. The middle of the Celebration tour is a bad time to let the world know. But the longer this gets put off, the more it seems like it is just sour grapes. Especially if it doesn't come out until after Ape is re-signed.
In other news, I want to know who's responsible for shower head settings. Because "Massage" does not mean "tear the flesh clean off your body". I swear, I don't even know why my mom decided to get that thing. The water comes out Mach 5 and could put dents in armored vehicles. So you get in there and don't really notice the setting until it's too late, your hands are wet so you can't change the setting, and even if you could you risk broken bones by putting your arms in the path of the fire hose. You just sorta have to get used to it. You decide to go in the water back first because you think it'll hurt less considering the two boobies you've got (even if they're little like mine, it still hurts enough to make you cry when they get hit) will be harmed if you even attempt it that way. You stand there for a few getting used to the pain then you're like "I have to hurry before the water goes cold!" because that'd be double worse. I've got bruises ya'll.
We lost (solidly) to both Arizona and UCLA, so I am very happy with 3rd. Our other Pac-10 loss was a bad one...to WSU, @ WSU, but we can't seem to win over there. (The Cougs can't win over here either.) We had a good regular season. We weren't even ranked when it started, but then we rattled off 3 victories over ranked teams in our first 3 games. The polls started to take notice then. We even beat the Pilots! The Pilots! We'd only ever done that once before in some 15 or so tries. That was cool. Then on Friday...it was freakin' freezing, but that was a great 106th-minute golden goal to down the Card.
This made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. I may have pulled a muscle. This is almost like bit's diaries from so long ago. I missed them so.
True, true. Brandi's smart. Whatever she does or doesn't do, I will trust in her that it was the right way to go. I wish it could be resolved privately. But Brandi tried that once. It's different now, though, so I guess all we can do is wait and see.
I hate that red, white and blue song they play after the US scores. *locks Wendy Gebauer in a storage room and makes her listen to that song repeatedly during the next broadcast so I don't have to listen to her talk about herself*
Yes, and it's like the annoying songs they play at grocery stores. It was playing in the background when they interviewed Mia pre-game.
They even played it at the end of the game, when the loss was official. Another downer to yesterday; since this was the last east coast game for the three of them, I was hoping for some sort of pseudo-retirement ceremony. That was offset by the fact everybody fanned out to various parts of the stadium post-match and signed autographs - that was how I got my Reddick autograph on one of the trading cards.
