Every KK for the length of Dubya's second term should kick off with this... Less than 18 hours away from Mia and Foudy's east coast retirement match (Fawcett, too - hope they honor her pre-game or at the half). Those who are coming to the Linc, you'll be in for a treat; those who are watching on the Deuce tomorrow, we'll wave to ya's *figures to get to the Linc's parking lot about noontime* *wonders if there'll be any tailgating*
For everyone who is going to be at the Linc tomorrow, there will be a meeting of all the BigSoccer folks at halftime at the open plaza at the lower left side of this picture: Basically if you're coming in from most of the the parking lots between the Linc and the Spectrum, or are coming from the subway, it's where you enter the building. For the rest of youse, it's the plaza from which you can see Center City.
Wishes for tomorrow: 1. A big crowd, the biggest of the tour; 2. A win in the Three's penultimate match as internationals; 3. A Mitts cap (for the Charge homies); maybe a goal if we're lucky
It ain't gonna be the biggest crowd, I could get sixth row tickets near the middle this morning. Sorry to disappoint you. But that's what life is....one disappointment after another.
A GOAL IF WE'RE LUCKY?? You think after that tie, Miss Wambach isn't gonna lay it on the line tomorrow? Abby Hat Trick......end of story.
A Mitts goal - should have clarified that. Mia, Abby, Lilly. The cameras will be rollin' and the stakes are higher for us. 4-1. *hopes for a good walkup crowd*
LMFAO Mitts will score that goal for Denmark. Abby 2, Mia and Lill. *gives Pauk a big old hug* Love you man.
An interview with Amelie Mauresmo, who's competing at this week's Advanta Championships in the Philly 'burbs, at the bottom of this: http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/10102992.htm
a. "The Incredibles" is a kickass movie. b. Sitting on the ice cold bleachers and shivering in the cold was absolutely worth it just to see that Stanford girl sitting in the box completely devastated after Kim Taylor's 107th minute golden goal off a sweet assist by Tina Frimpong.
lol Well...I...wish I could apologize or something, but I can't. Stanford put up a helluva fight. I thought it was going to end scoreless. Frimpong was just too much, though. She was being double-manmarked for most of the game...well, the part of the game that I saw. It was a fieldtrip. We took the kids from Seattle SCORES to see the second half of the women's game and the first half of the men's game. We had about 250 kids and another 100+ parents and siblings. The kids were so cute cheering, "LET'S GO HUSKIES, LET'S GO! LET'S GO HUSKIES, LET'S GO!" and "HUSKIES HUSKIES WHAT'S YOUR CRY? V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!" lmao
OH! I know why I laughed. Because the last time I saw us play the Card, they (it?) edged us out 1-0, the only goal being a rebound off a rebound. That hurt. As time ticked away we had chances, but we were getting panicky. Frimpong was less than pleased. While battling for the ball on the sideline, she took a handful of jersey and pulled the defender down slyly. The ref didn't see it. The worst part was overhearing one of the Stanford players after the game chatting with a friend and saying, "Now we're going to win the Pac-10." :| Tonight was the opposite feeling.
Good morning. Here's a Philadelphia Inquirer article about Luckenbill , 'cause she's from Pennsylvania.
