I hate it less the more I see it. It's not aimed at me, it's not the home or away kit so we'll probably wear it 5 times before the next one comes along. Everyone buys the home kit, the 3rd kit is niche by comparison. As yikchi said, it's one that will end up being considered cool in 5 years, not now. Some players (e.g. Mejbri) actually look good in it. The problem is going to be when you see 280lb bellies poking out the bottom of it. And when you actually see it on the pitch, all worn at once.
Just off the top of my head, at least two of those kits, the top and bottom middle ones from Nike, were second kits, that became "third" kits, the next season. They aren't true third kits.The blue was the 05/06 away, the black was the 09/10 away. Funny enough, they left off our beautiful 08/09 blue third kit.
They've really got to bin those matching shorts if they want this kit to look good on the field. Black shorts please.
It's been suggested yesterday that only the jersey's will make it to matches and not the shorts or the socks. Black shorts really should be the way to go with that kit.
I think if anything the bigger problem is going to be whether I can grow Mejbri hair without my hairline simultaneously doing a Gervinho. I'll look like a fat Art Garfunkel.
If Glazers / Woody dont show some ambition and back the manager next few weeks in the transfer market, then will continue to boycott all commercial stuff including kits. At least with these kit designs they are making that an easy decision
